A warm, friendly place serving traditional American food. The hamburgers are the best here. They also have a Portuguese section on their menu but I have never tried it because of the warning that it takes at least 20 minutes to prepare.
If you love Thai food, go here. Excellent food made with fresh ingredients and lots of care. Be prepared for a bit of a wait. The pork shoulder fried rice is to die for, as are the stuffed angel wings. I don't know just when he ate there, but there is an autographed picture of Keanu Reeves on display. Well worth the trip to a somewhat scuzzy area.
This one of the few places to get lunch in the area where I work, so they have a captive audience. The deli food is overpriced and a lot of times not very fresh. The grocery store side sells lots of exotic items. It would be nice to have a normal grocery store for when you just want to pick up some lean cuisine or something. None of these expensive things taste every good either.
I have been seeing Dr. Hoffman for many years and I think she is a wonderful podiatrist. Very caring and thorough. Always takes the time to explain everything to you and listen to your concerns.
I have been eating here for years and have never had a bad meal. They recently expanded to the space next door, greatly reducing the waiting time when it's crowded. My favorite is the barbecued spare ribs.
This store has everything you need to keep your pet happy and healthy. I have been feeding my two cats their raw cat food for years with very good results. More expensive than commercial food but a good investment in the long run when you consider the savings on vet expenses from eating poor quality food. They also have books, tons of toys, pet outfits, and more. Lynnette, the owner, is very knowledgeable and helpful. They also deliver. Highly recommended.
They also have an 18th Street location, but I am not familiar with it.
This is really a boutique rather than a regular pet store. Their items are pricey but I enjoy going there with my cat after I have her nails clipped at Pets Unlimited to get her some kitty grass or a catnip plant. The people are very nice and they have a great selection.
Small, not fancy, but the food here is so good. I stick to familiar things like stir fry and their wonderful egg rolls. It is run by a family and they are very friendly and welcoming.
Not fancy, but you go here for the great food, lots of it, at reasonable prices . The owner, Henry, is from Cambodia. I have never been there when he wasn't there, cooking behind the counter and greeting everyone with a smile, like they were old friends. A nice little neighborhood restaurant.
Kathy has been taking care of my back for over 15 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. She takes a holistic approach to her practice, but doesn't try to sell all kinds of supplements, etc. that you don't need.
