Actually, my first time tanning was at Island Sun, and they filled me in on all my worries and took special care to help me decide what I wanted. Tan turned out great, can't wait to treat myself and go there again!
This place is kinda tack-it-or-leave-it. I'm on the leave it side, I didn't really like the girls there, they were overly pushy about their products, and didn't seem to listen much to what I wanted, instead going for what they think I should want. Not my style, and they won't be styling for me again anytime soon.
Usually I think nice music and a nice looking salon is just an extra, but these girls really make the grade! Service is good and prices are fair for what you get. Actually find myself tipping better there than anywhere else I go.
This place is so busy, so it's really not their fault their a little slow to get too. I imagine they could expand, but that's probably asking a little much. Service is great though, hence the busyness.
Holy crap, I can blow my entire pay check here and not feel bad about it for everything you get. Stylists are really skilled too, and they'll tell you what they're doing as they do it so you can pick up on it for later.
I can't say this was the right place for me. The hair cut was great, but it was really over prices. The salon was really nice too, but the stylists just seemed to want to sell their shampoo and conditioner as much as they wanted to cut and style my hair. Looking at it now, I got basically the same cut I can get at my usual fair priced spot. If that's the service you want to pay for though, it's not to bad.
Little on the price side, but it's pretty fun to go and have the stylists talk to you so much. Luckily their not air heads like most other places, they're still concentrating on your hair above all, and I appreciate that the most.
One thing I can't stand much about Nail places is the smell, yet somehow it's not noticeable all that much here. One thing I did like in particular was the prices, they're not through the roof like most salons.
Talk about Chatty Cathy's, oh my god. Service is good though, and if you're in a chatty mood you're basically their best friend. They don't even seem to mind that I never tip either :D.
Only Mystic thing about it is the people working their, and maybe the condition of the store. The music playing in the store was really really weird too. I mean, everything was cheap and plentiful, but if I can't enjoy myself while I'm spending my Sunday at a Dollar Store, I.. could be doing other things, probably.
