Great for private parties and group dining. The food is great, generous and the wine list is appropriate. The restaurant itself can get a bit noisy, but perhaps that is part of the charm.
Great contemporary Italian food with earthy, aromatic touches. The atmosphere is what you should come to expect from an upscale Italian restaurant and the waitstaff is wonderfully attentive.
The best part about Tria other than the amazing menu selection of what they do best is the incredibly knowledgeable staff. They can guide you to a piquant palate you might never have chosen for youself.
Lovely neighborhood coffee shop. You go as much to meet friends and for intellectual communion as much as the coffee. The food selection is somewhat limited but the menu expands seasonally.
A little slice of France in a small, cluttered cafe. Especially nice when the weather is warm, as you can sit outside and watch the passersby while happily chowing down on baguettes and fragrant coffee. I like it for the food, the proprietors and the regulars.
Have only been on a Saturday night when the entire place is cleared out and becomes a dance club. I never would have known that this is a traditional Irish pub for all the flashing lights and DJ. The music selection isn't that great, but if you are looking for crowded, close and sweaty, its a good spot.
Total dive w/ drunk kids and sleepy regulars. I hear the food is pretty good, but I've always been a little afraid to try it. Its a passable 1 to 2 AM bar to get a few cheap drinks after dancing all night.
Most of the menu staples are quite good. (Stay away from the fish and chips.) Its a quaint 'regulars' type bar that is neither a dive nor dirty. Crowd up to the bar and watch a Phillies game or come with a date. You'll always meet someone new and interesting. It is a little more 'bistro' than straight up bar, so don't be upset if you see families.
Most of the menu staples are lackluster. The service is rushed and the atmosphere is a little too emo for words. You go because it is close and can get a fairly decent beer with friends before you head off to better places.
Find your favorite at Mama Palmas and there are plenty to choose from. The mozarella w/ prosciutto and pistachio is to die for. Its a great BYOB, crispy crust inventive pizzas and unfortunately rude service. All is forgiven with the service, because the food is so good!
