I used to live in Houtzdale, and would regularly go to Joey's for a pizza or just to get a drink. It's definitely one of the best hang out spots for teenagers and even older couples. I remember when I was 10 years old, my best friend and I were wandering around Houtzdale deciding where to go to eat, and Joey's was closed. Joey (the owner) saw us and asked us if we'd like to go in and just grab a pizza, on the house. He had to do some cleaning up, so while he did that we just ate. I've never been so grateful, his restaurant has been through so much, and I'm so glad that it's still around. I can't wait to be back in Houtzdale again to just hang out with old friends and eat one of his amazing pizzas.
I love the atmosphere, I love their bacon and egg breakfast tacos. On Wednesday nights they have karaoke, it's so packed! So plan to get there way before seven to get a seat. It's a great place to go with your family, with your significant other, or just with a bunch of friends. It's cheap for really good food too!! OH & their sweet tea is one of the best in San Antonio!! :)
I had my abortion performed here, and the nurses were really friendly and made me feel just like I was going in for a check up. Although i didn't have much interaction with the doctor there was one there in case anything were to go wrong. The only thing that scared me was all of the religious people gathering around the building "praying" for me.
When I fell unexpectedly pregnant, I came to this pregnancy care center to talk to a counselor and talk about my options. Her name is Sarah Stone, she not only advised me to make a great decision for ME - she provided me with everything from abortions, to adoptions, to actually keeping the baby. I'm so glad I was able to speak with her and figure out what decision would be best. She probably doesn't know this, but I thank her every day for being there for me. She still continues to call me to check up and see how I'm doing. I love this place!! The nurses are so friendly, the office staff is so nice. It's just a great place to be.
This place has fish and chips, and that's pretty much it - so they call themselves "british restaurant and pub"? Um, no. They're just like any ordinary restaurant. I hate the atmosphere here, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!
The food is a little bit more expensive then if you were to just go to a "regular" restaurant. The inside and outside sittings are beautiful, they have so many lights up and it's just really romantic for a first date or something like that. My waitor was one of the nicest people, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great service and amazing food!! :D
It's in a perfect location off of the highway, the only thing I was kind of upset about was that there wasn't shampoo or conditioner in the shower, which I should've realized the night before taking the shower. I had to go to the office in my PJs at 5am, I was a little grouchy about that. Also, I could hear my neighbor talking on the phone so obviously the walls are extremely thin, YOU know what that means!! ;) It's a good price and a nice place to stay all-in-all though.
This place is right down the road from my house. I pay 75 dollars a month, for the best bed in the place and absolutely love it!! The ladies in the front once they get to know you, are really friendly and get to know you as a regular and have your bed ready as soon as you walk into the door!! I've never had to wait for my bed before, as it's always been open. It just goes to show that there's a good amount of beds, and I always see other customers in there so I know it's a popular place to tan! :D
I went to doo or dye when I first moved to SA and I've never been so happy with a haircut in my entire life!! It's very original and unique, the place is not like any ordinary hair salon, people are very laid back. I can't remember the guy who did my hair but he did an amazing job and he told me straight up what would look good on me and what wouldn't look good on me. Definitely go here, it's not in a great area but once you go inside you won't regret it :D
I see Ana Rodriguez and she's very understanding and very professional. I do not recommend seeing Dr. Senger, the man Dr. Rodriguez is also a really good doctor, he's not judgemental and honestly listens to everything I have to say. The office staff seems a little unprofessional, they're also rude. The nurses, are well just nurses, they don't really interact much with patients.
