I absolutely love their food, but their service is terrible. The waiters and waitresses can barely speak english so if you ever ask for something, they either can't understand you or they mess it up. This place is small, although always packed, and the funny thing is, on any given day you will always see people of different ethnicities that are not vietnamese MORE than vietnamese people here. Their broth has this delicious flavor that I've never encountered in any other pho restaurants, so I will always be a loyal customer. Their prices are cheap; however, when they mean "small bowl," they really do mean a ridiculously SMALL bowl!
My favorite noodle house in Union city, this place has never disappointed me! I have been coming here since I was little, and I will always be a loyal customer. My favorite is their combination rice stick noodle soup (with the flat noodles). It's great that you can choose what type of noodles you want, they have 4 choices. Their rice porridge with the thousand year egg is also delicious, and my friends love their pho. Not to mention, they have GREAT vietnamese sandwiches that are ridiculously cheap! Their food is very authentic, and it is family owned. Service is great, parking is easy to find, what's not to love about this place??
It's kind of sad that this restaurant is located right next to pho 99, because it doesn't even compare to pho 99. However, this is of course due to personal preference, because I still see plenty of customers here. Give this place a try if you're a pho lover and judge for yourself, the pricing won't stop you!
I thought their pho was decent. I wasn't impressed, and their broth really didn't taste that great. It wasn't nasty or anything, so it's really just personal preference. They have great service and the prices are cheap, so don't let my opinion stop you, I still think this is a great restaurant. I'm the only person amongst everyone I know that doesn't like their pho.
This place is so dead. I hardly ever see any customers here. I used to come here a lot when I was little with my family, but I never liked it. They are known for their "chao nian gao," so if you like that, then try this place. However, the last time I was here (and it was my last time for a reason), we were so disgusted by one of their dishes. No matter how hard we tried to ignore it, there was this acidy smell emitting from the dish, literally smelling like cleaning supplies. Then a few of us choked on little pieces of metal - I'm assuming it came off of their scrubbers. Absolute disaster.
I love this place, their food is so good. It's sort of like a panda express where you can see the platters of food in front of you and choose what you want, so its all very fast. Their adobo of course is exceptional, and the pricing here is not bad at all. I also love the adobo rice they have. The workers here are all friendly, and the restaurant is very clean. Parking is easy to find. They do use MSG though, even though they claim they don't. But hey, that's just like any other restaurant.
Tacos uruapan has really great food that makes them stand out above all the other mexican restaurants. I love their carne asada burritos and horchata, and they also have this salsa bar so you can choose among them. The place is usually crowded with customers, so I'm not the only one that thinks so!
Straw hat pizza has the best pizza I have ever had. They have funky and creative toppings, and they all taste so delicious! The pricing is not cheap, but still decent, and parking is not bad, and they also deliver. I absolutely love their pizza; literally all of them are so good. You definitely need to try their pizza if you haven't already.
Paddy is a great and sweet guy, and his dedication shows through his drinks and food. He cares about his customers, and understands that many of them are teenagers looking for a place to study, so he provides wi-fi and on finals weeks he even opens his cafe 24 hours! The pricing here is pretty cheap, and there's always great customer service here, plus the occasional art shows in his store. Parking is limited though!
This place is rumored to be haunted, which I think is so funny. They used to have awesome decorations that was old school and very cowboy-ish, but then they remodeled and now it just looks pretty plain. I love the food here, I grew up eating at this place. The prices are also unbeatable. However, it's located right next to an elementary and middle school, so be prepared to see this place swamped with tweens and teens walking over afterschool. Don't let that stop you from trying this place out though! They even have an mini arcade section!
