As hard as it is finding decent Mexican food in San Luis Obispo, Pancho's is not a place I would recommend to go. Their service was horrible, more like rude, and the time it took to get my food was unacceptable. The food was less than decent and I feel like I did not get my money's worth. I would definitely NOT recommend Pancho's.
Royal Thai is a good pick, if you like thai food. However, if you are craving thai food is that is more authentic, then maybe this place is not where you want to go. Their food seems americanized and doesnt have the same taste or texture of authentic thai food. The standard is Pad Thai with your choice of meet or just vegetable or tofu. The prices were decent for what it was.
Usually Pismo beach is known for their clam chowder, but people seem to overlook the other food options there are in this beach city. Mo's BBQ was a great experience for me! Their food is absolutely delicious, their honey bbq ribs, especially. Be sure to bring your appetite and always ask for extra wet napkins! You will certainly need them when eating here.
Every time my family goes up to San Luis Obispo to visit my brother, we always end up going to Golden Gong. The food is okay, nothing special when comparing to other Chinese restaurants. There isnt too many cultural-based places to eat in San Luis Obispo, but I enjoy going here with my family & the food that bad, just okay.
My family grew up going here to get our hair cut & dyed. The place is very homelike and the ladies that work here are very nice & like to talk and make friends. Ive gotten my hair done here for several special occasions. My regular stylist, Linda, even did my hair for free for my Debutante Ball! I definitely recommend going here!
Flora's Oriental Store may be a small hole in the wall on Palm Ave, but I grew up going to this store quite often with my parents that were always in need of buying Filipino food & what not, that couldnt be found in a local super market. This place has great food, great imported stuff from the Philippines, movie rentals, and even a karaoke inside! If you are ever in need of Filipino stuff, definitely go here!
I went to the closet one day with some of my friends who needed to find gifts for a special event we were having. From the outside, the closet looked small, but when I walked in, I was surprised to see how big the store actually was. They had so much selection in dresses, shirts, pants, shoes, and purses. I would definitely recommend shopping for great looking clothes here if you are on a budget!
Amarin was very pricey for the food that they had served. The place was very aesthetically pleasing, however the food wasnt as great as I had expected, since many people have talked about how great their food tasted. My chicken was dry and the noodles my sister ordered did not have much taste. There are plenty of great thai restaurants in San Diego, however I would not recommend going here.
When I was making arrangements for my Debutante Ball, I had a very hard time choosing a florists because I had a certain vision of the arrangements I wanted for this special occasion. After weeks of going around San Diego, I finally stumbled upon Coronado Island Florists. This place had great customer service & a great collection of arrangements they had done in the past, so I knew they were worth it. It was conveniently close to where my debut was held, and at the end of my ball, everyone had taken the centerpieces home! I highly recommend!
Bliss is a great store to go to for flashy jewelry. They have a lot of selection when it comes to earrings, necklaces, bracelets, tiaras, purses, and even body jewelry. However, Bliss can be a bit pricey, so if you are looking for something cheap, you might not want to shop here.
