Bar Boy Products is a great place to go for party supplies. I have also bought glassware and hard-to-find kitchen supplies there. The staff is very knowledgable and the owner is a great guy. He not only runs a great store, he supported our community through a generous donation of supplies for a recent fundraiser.
My daughter fell in love with the first gown she tried on. The staff was very accomodating and welcomed us from the moment we arrived (and that was without an appointment!) The alterations were beautifully done and her dress looked exquisite.
The staff at Bridal Reflections was very rude. I felt like they couldn't be bothered to help my daughter and me. We got an uncomfortable feeling as soon as we walked in the store.
The Chocolate Duck has a huge selection of candy making and cake decorating supplies. They just moved to a new location and it is very bright and clean. I used to be a little disappointed with the service, never getting a thank you for my purchase, however in recent visits, the owner seems to be much more friendly and attentive.
The Bagel Factory is a great place to go for an inexpensive breakfast or lunch. They have a huge selection of bagels, rolls, salads, other prepared foods. I particularly like the roast beef hero with melted mozzarella cheese. It's big enough to share. The staff is extremely friendly and very quick and efficient.
The Merritt Delicatessen has a large selection of food items and their cold cuts are nice and fresh. Their salads are good too. The staff is extremely friendly, making it a pleasure to stop in for a quick buttered roll or a cup of coffee!
The Merritt Bakery may be small but what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality. They have a delicious variety of layer cakes, rolls, and cookies. My favorite is the chocolate frosted brownies.
Stuff-A-Bagel has a great selection of bagels, rolls, and bialys. They have lots of prepared foods too, like salads, fruit, etc. Their bagels are always fresh and delicious, not stale or chewy. I've used them to cater special functions and they made delicious bagel sandwich platters and a spinach salad to die for!!
BK Sweeney's is a nice restaurant. The prices are fair, especially their specials. I highly recommend the Sauerbraten. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, you may have to wait. If there is a major sports event going on, the place tends to get very noisy. I've always had great service, although once in a while I feel a little rushed.
The Embassy Diner has great breakfast meals, very good home fries. Their lunches and dinners are all pretty tasty and very generous. You'll never leave hungry. The service is fast and efficient.
