We lived here for a little over a year. The apartments are a good size and I like the layout.
The 2 bedrooms were on opposite sides of the apartment with the living room, dining room and kitchen in between. Makes a great situation for roommates or just parents with a child who don't want to wake them up staying up late. The kitchen is small but average for an apartment kitchen.
We were on the ground floor so we had to hear all the stomping up the wooden stairs to the upper apartments, but I suppose that's to be expected in apartment living.
The tennis court was right across from our apartment but the net wasn't maintained too well. The playground area wasn't really ever cleaned up after storms, etc so the leaves just piled up. During the warmer months, the pool was open and well-maintained so we enjoyed spending time there.
The office staff was pleasant but not overly personable.
I'd say overall, it was a positive experience and we felt safe there. A reasonable price for a safe place to live.
I went out for a night with the girls and had a blast at Cozzy's! They had 2 great acts, the service was pretty quick on getting drinks to our table and the cover wasn't too expensive. I LOVE that one of the owners comes around with jello shooters for a $1 - they were soooo yummy! She had a great variety and we had a good time trying them out. The only drawback was the size of the place - kinda small but I didn't really mind since we had a table.
This a fun place to go for dinner and a movie at the same time. What a great way to go on a date or out with the girls. I really like that there are servers who bring everything out so no waiting in lines at a concession stand. The food is just like any other basic american fare restaurant, but the atmosphere is great. I would definitely recommend it for a date or girls night!
We refinanced our house with Atlantic Bay Mortgage. Some of the paperwork was messed up because when they went to sell the loan to another company, we had to redo the paperwork twice to fix some errors. Tomlin Temple PC handled the original closing of the loan and explained each and every piece of paper in detail when we signed and closed the loan. So, I'm not sure whose fault it was that we had to redo paperwork. But, bottom line, Tomlin Temple closed our loan and seemed to know what they were doing.
My husband was out to sea for our daughter's 3rd birthday, so I felt the need to overcompensate and hire a pony for rides during the party. And I'm so glad I did!!! Mr. Blymyer and his staff are so easy to work with and certainly fulfilled all the expectations of the job. They are fully licensed and do clean up of anything left by the pony/ies so the process is pain and mess free for the parents. We loved it so much, we hired them again the following year. And we specifically asked for Jellybean the pony to attend again, they were more than happy to accommodate us. I would definitely recommend Pony Ride LTD to anyone looking for pony rides at their event!
We were transferring to the area and were under strict time constraints to find a house and get a contract on it. Philene worked with us long distance via email before we arrived so that we had a plan to work with when we arrived. She was a great sounding board for our concerns, answered all of our questions in detail and is very knowledgeable about the process of buying a home. It was scary for us since it was our first time, but Philene made it go so easily. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to buy a house in the tidewater Virginia area!
We have lived all over the country because we are military, so we've tried A LOT of Chinese food. Ming's is by far one of the best we've ever had. Their prices are reasonable and the delivery is super fast, always earlier than stated on the phone. Our kids love it too, so it's never a problem when we want to call them for take out. They are our first choice if we aren't in the mood to cook!!
I LOVE Dr. Marotto!! She is the most caring and understanding OBGYN I have ever met! She is so knowledgeable about her trade and takes so much time with each patient that she's often running behind on the appointments, but no one cares because she's just that great at her job! She always explains every step of the pregnancy, procedure, test result, etc. She does so in such a caring and concerned way that I felt like she was almost family. I was so sad when we had to transfer to another state that I BEGGED her to move with us!! Her staff is very sweet and whenever they are running behind because of another patient or emergency, they make sure to notify everyone so they can make arrangements to reschedule or wait as needed. Her nurse practitioner, Patsy, is also wonderful. She went out of her way to print off an article relating to my diagnosis one time. She's constantly doing research to better her education and be a better aid to her patients. I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend Dr. Marotto and her staff to any woman needing OB or GYN care in the Brunswick, ME area.
My son saw Dr. Brockman as a starting point when he was diagnosed as possibly being ADHD. Dr. Brockman was our first step after the pediatrician and he is very personable. His office is set up to accommodate other children if they need to be there during the appointment. He was able to give my son some tests via the computer to calculate his attentiveness, etc and confirmed the diagnosis of ADHD. The problem I have is that he's not actually a psychiatrist or psychologist - he's a licensed counselor. When I asked why weren't scheduled to see a psychiatrist or psychologist like my son's pediatric doc wanted, we were told it was part of the process. Basically, you are forced to meet with one of the licensed counselors first and they make a recommendation to one of the actual doctors in the practice. And although the first step includes the counselor taking notes and passing the file onto the actual doctor, it seems like an unnecessary extra step. I have to wonder if it's set up this way for the extra money for appointments for it there really are that many patients wanting to be seen there....not sure.
Dr. Levy and his brother, Dr. Levy, do a great job. They are first and foremost concerned with their patient's care and comfort level. They will discuss any aspect of the patient's dental concerns and when I had a problem with one of the hygenists, they corrected the issue immediately and were greatly apologetic. I would definitely recommend them to any adult seeking a kind and caring dentist.
