They Saved Me. What ever you do, not to put potato peels down the drain. How come my mother never told me??? I was able to get hold of them right away and they came right out to help me.
Gunthers is an old school ice cream joint in the true sense of the word.
The ice cream and the atmosphere are both impressive. The employees are helpful and friendly.
They make their own ice cream on the premises and have a giant list to chose from. Whats cool is they have seasonal flavors that are always enticing. Be sure to try the banana and peach, man o man. They also have good lunches,
Gunthers is certainly the best in the city. No reason to go anywhere else for ice cream.
Benihana's isn't just going out to eat, its an experience.
The is food cooked right in front of you and its very entertaining and quite a show if you get one of the really good cooks. They toss the food and try to land shrimp tails on top of their hats. Our guy made a little volcano out of an onion.
Try the hibachi chicken fried rice is the best. It makes me not want to eat rice any other way.
Its not cheap but you can have the very same at lunch for about half the price. The best part is you start getting food right away and they serve a little at a time. Otherwise you go to a restaurant and wait and wait so when your food comes you just wolf it down, and your over full.
Benihanas a great time. and you don't need a reservation.
Took the grand kids to Sunrise Rollerland and they had a blast. It looks like its cool to skate again... Its a good place for kids to go and keep them out of trouble on the streets. The selection of food wasn't that good for you but I wasn't expecting a salad bar.
They say the weekends are really busy and they have adult night that's packed.
I used to skate when I was younger and I wasn't bad. But I don't heal as good as I used to so I was happy to just sit an watch.
The selection of frozen yogurt is not very large. And they don't seem very friendly there as before. But if you need something to read quick thats the place.
It used to be called "Manhattan Bagel unfortunately this place has been spiraling downhill ever since it became "Sacramento Bagel." the selection is very depleted by late morning.
I think they make the cream cheese themselves (on the tubs they sell there is a short expiration date).
Won't be going back. Not the best area to park a nice car. Three people asked me for some change while I was here. I don't like aggressive people approaching me in a parking lot. I should have taken a clue from the "police parking only" sign near the entrance.
Everything i've order from Harry's Cafe has been good...my wife loves the beef stew. The service is by far better than any other pho spot near downtown. Prices are very fair.
I had a delicious order of sesame chicken, brocolli and rice. The plates were big and piled with a beautiful presentation of food. I had enough leftover to take home. I'll be taking it to work tomorow for lunch.
