Perfect way to spend some time with kids...and to get your own creative juices flowing! I was amazed at how therapeutic - and fun - painting pottery can be. I just love the concept. I don't think I've "made" something since grammar school...I was so excited to pick up the finished piece :)
Whenever I go here, I thoroughly enjoy everything about the experience... the smells, the tastes, the staff, the decor. It's a great little place to get an authentic Middle Eastern meal in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Excellent hummus and falafel!
Good, old-fashioned pub food.. Great burgers, great fries, great wings and lots and lots of beer. It's the perfect place to watch the game...or have brunch with friends. Super casual, super easy.
I shop here when I'm looking for good, butcher-quality meats, fresh cold cuts, and Italian delicacies. It's my go-to place for summer bbq's and weekend picnics - Italian style. Love the fresh mozz, the homemade roast beef and the rice balls. But they're a little on the expensive side, so shop wisely...and never shop hungry :)
I've been going to 101's for over 10 years and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. It's the perfect place to grab a quick dish of pasta, a brick oven pizza or some fried calamari. It can get crowded with young locals on the weekend so go early if you want a table fast. But they do have valet and a decent sized bar to cozy up to while you wait...
Delicious, authentic Thai food in a cozy atmosphere. The service can be a bit slow...but it's well worth the wait. Killer Massaman Curry and coconut rice. And if you love Thai iced tea, you'll be happy you went :-)
If you're looking for that perfect cheesecake...or a delicious loaf of prosciutto bread...or you love authentic Italian gelato then this is the place for you. With a dizzying array of Italian pastries and decadent desserts, it's easy to get lost in the smell of freshly brewed espresso and baked bread. It's certainly not cheap - but it's worth every delicious bite!
This is by far my favorite Chinese take out place. The menu is an interesting mix of traditional Chinese, gourmet Chinese, Thai and sushi. The ingredients always taste fresh, every sauce is absolutely yummy and they'll steam anything on request. I highly recommend a dish from their lighter "spa" menu called American Buddhist Delight. Steamed tofu and veggies over brown rice with the most delicious house vinaigrette! And if you love noodles, try Ants Climbing a Tree. Cellophane noodles with pork and chicken that's as colorful and interesting as it's name. This place really brings Chinese take-out to a whole new level.
Lots of mixed reviews among the local pet owners about this place...but personally, I've always had a good experience. Dr. Pernice has been treating my 3 year old Coco (mini dachsie) since she was 10 weeks old and he's always been helpful, caring and sympathetic. She loves him! Plus, they keep to their appointment schedule and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and courteous.
Still the best bagels in the neighborhood - hands down. No small feat considering there's at least 10 bagel shops within a 20 block radius. And having sampled them all, I must say whatever the Boy is doing to these bagels, it's working. Crunchy on the outside...soft on the inside. Killer :-)
