Century 20 is a great place for movies --- it's conveniently located off the 405 at the Beach exit. There's a parking lot and lots of things to do before and after the movies (Barnes and Nobles, shopping, Cheesecake Factor, Buca Di Pepo...etc)
As for the theatre itself, the service is pretty good. Prices are just about standard for a movie ticket.
Almost everyone in the vietnamese community has heard or tried of Van's Bakery. It's great authentic stuff. My family goes here for birthday cakes, or anything else. We highly recommend, and you won't be disappointed.
Overall, Lee's sandwiches is pretty good. I recommend the BBQ pork sandwich. I'm not too much of a fan of their bread though, and I'm not sure, but I think this Lee's Sandwiches gets sandwiches shipped from other places? My last sandwich didn't taste very fresh... Overall though, they usually don't disappoint. Hence, 4 stars.
J & J's is a mom and pop restaurant that has almost everything you could want, at very affordable prices. You can get everything from a teriyaki bowl, to a cheeseburger, to a sub. I've never personally had the teriyaki bowl, but I've heard very good things. Every sub I've had has been absolutely delicious. My personal favorite at J & J's would be the cheeseburger and fries combo. It costs exactly $5, and comes with a cheeseburger with everything you would want, an order of their amazing french fries, and a small soda. What more could you want besides ranch dressing? Fortunately for you, it's on the house at J&Js. And after you're done with your food, you can kick back and play your friends at Marvel vs. Capcom II. J & J's really does have everything, amazing food, fun games, and a very nice staff. Five stars, would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!
It's been a long time since JNJs has been around so I think that means something. I've been there from time to time for about...10 or so years now and they always meet my card needs. Give this local place a checkout if you need stuff for cards!
I absolutely love this place. Go for the chicken katsu or my espcially favorite, bacon fried-rice. Yummmm. The place is a surfingly cool place to hang out and chill. Service is great. Prices aren't too expensive for a meal. I recommend to anyone that wants a good casual lunch/dinner!
First time customer here that needed a late night place to chill. My visit was awesome. The food was good, but what really makes a place awesome is their service --- and theirs was a good example. The prices aren't too high, and they have specials. This place gets my thumbs up for a late night hangout.
I think Furiwa is an alright place... I'd score this place higher, but I really think it has lost it's jazz in the more recent years. I used to come here a lot growing up, but not anymore... The service is good and the food is okay, just nothing that wows me anymore (not even for dim sum). I've heard that this place is nice for weddings though.
Out of all the places for banh mi (sandwiches) in Westminster, I think Top Baguette makes the best beef sandwiches. I go there when I feel like beef banh mi since they use a combination of good bread and meat (I have no idea how they prepare it, but it's good stuff). Make sure to check this place out when you're on bolsa!
Saigon Bakery has a variety of items; however, my family and I go there for their sandwiches. Their bread is pretty good and their service is organized. I personally like their sandwiches more than Lee's (not that Lee's is bad or anything). We get our sandwiches fairly quickly. We definitely consider ourselves casual customers and would recommend.
