Cuti
I'm tempted to compare this place to Guppy's Tea House, which is also awesome by the way :D. But this place, in addition to offering the shaved ice with mixed fruits and the popcorn chicken and the toast and the boba drinks which you find at Guppy's, also offers a wide selection of treats and delicacies that you would normally only find in the night markets of Vietnam! Exotic huh! So like anything from (and I'm trying my best to describe these in English) grapefruit desserts to fried rice-cakes to shrimp dumplings to crab egg soup to spring rolls - you'd find all that here and for a very reasonable price! The setting is contemporary and clean, and the wait not too long. Cuti, I'd say, is one of the best places to hang out with your friends, and to try Vietnamese snacks! Yeah! :P
Van Pharmacy
This small, family-run pharmacy offers personal care and virtually no waiting time. It is owned by a middle-aged couple - very kind, very patient, and very knowledgeable. The plus is, the store is willing to match prices with big-chained stores like CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid, Ralphs, etc., so you would be paying the same price for better service. :D Highly recommended to anyone in the area.
New Trieu Chau Restaurant
This superb rice noodle house offers perhaps the widest selection of Vietnamese/Chinese rice noodle soups in Orange Country! Demand is high, so one can imagine that the service may not be ideal, and the cleanliness a bit lacking, but the food makes up for it! Just know that the wait may be particularly long on weekends. Fortunately, parking is easy. So yeah, once you're past the ordering-your-food stage, you'll be in for a real treat! Come check out the place! :P
Nguyen Huong
This small, family-run food store is pricey, but that just means the stuff, that is, the pastries and snacks and traditional Vietnamese rice cakes and gio cha (ie. meatloaf) that you are getting, are of the best quality! The service is fast and the location good. OH! And on weekends, they offer the even rarer Vietnamese delicacies and traditional foods, which are nearly impossible to describe in English. Soo... come try it out!
Van's Restaurant
Van Restaurant is conveniently located and offers a variety of authentic Vietnamese-style entrees for prices that are very affordable (ie. cheap). The cleanliness of the place is questionable :(, however, but otherwise I would recommend it to anyone. They also sell fast-food and traditional Vietnamese leaf-wrapped rice delicacies, which are always good to pick up on the way out. The service is great I might add, and the wait not too long.
Tai Buu Paris Restaurant
Enjoy French-style cuisine in a romantic setting! The wonderful aromas of wine-based pasta sauces permeate this small, dimly-lit restaurant, making your mouth water the moment you step inside. The place is clean, the prices reasonable, and the parking not too bad. Service is fast and the waiters are very friendly - eager to suggest their chef's signature dishes! So come already!
Ngu Binh Restaurant
One of the more crowded restaurants in downtown Westminster offering authentic Hue style cuisine, this place offers fast and friendly service as well as good food! The wait can be pretty long, particularly on weekends, but that shouldn't matter if you want a good bowl of "bun bo hue". :D The cuisine, characteristic of central Vietnam, is really awesome, cuz the chefs are awesome, so give it a try you guys! Heehee. Oh! and prices are very reasonable considering the portions you're served.
Lien Hoa BBQ
While hassled parking characterizes the small plaza in which Lien Hoa is located, the store continues to attract customers with its wide selection of asian-style roasted meats and buns. The service is very fast, and the quality good for the price you are paying. You can find anything there! from quail to pork to chasiu to roasted duck to flower buns! It's really great! Come try their quail, I can eat like 6+ in one sitting. It's sooo good, haha.
Song Long Bakery Inc
This amalgam of a bakery and food-food store offers tasty European-style buns and pastries and a wide selection of asian munch-snacks. The service is friendly, the prices very affordable, but the place is small and relatively older than nearby bakeries in downtown Westminster. Come try it out! :D
Xoi Hoang Huong
This is more of a storefront than a store, but in no way does that take away from the quality of the banh cuon (ie. rice flat-cakes) that this place offers. Service is quick, so it's great if your on the go. They have a wide variety of fast-foods and snacks; but most are Vietnamese traditional stuff like banh cuon, gio cha, xoi, etc. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality.
