Chukar Cherries is a popular spot to take my friends and family when they come into town. The staff is friendly, the store is clean, and the free samples are delicious! They offer all kinds of chocolate covered dried cherries, blueberries and strawberries. They also have some all natural preserves that are just fabulous. I was recently at the Seattle Airport, and noticed Chukar Cherries were selling for double what they cost at the store in Prosser. So, if you anywhere near Prosser, I would recommend stopping by and stocking up.
I've been using MVP Storage for about 6 months. They are very friendly, polite, helpful, and just an all around pleasure to do business with. They also live next door to the storage facility, and keep a close eye on people coming and going. One day when I pulled in to get in my storage building and was in a different vehicle, they walked over to check and see who I was. Their facility is immaculate and well constructed. Highly recommend!
I have eaten at the Barn Restaurant several times. They have a nice atmosphere - very Western and rustic. Local ranchers have plaques of wood with their brand on them displayed in the main room of the restaurant. My favorite time to eat there is when they do their Sunday brunch buffet for special occasions like Mother's Day or Easter. They are fantastic! Everything from the basics like ham and eggs, to carefully crafted pastries and chocolate covered strawberries. If you haven't tried one of their brunch buffets, you are really missing out!
The 10-4 Cafe is a local hangout for farmers and working men. Unfortunately, it is not a real clean place to eat. You often have to dodge the employees hanging out in the doorway and smoking in order to get in the building. The building itself really needs some cleaning and a coat of paint. The food is average. All in all, I avoid the place. Would love to see them clean up their act though. Grandview could use a nice sit-down restaurant with good service.
I have done business with the Lockshop several times. They are always friendly, helpful, and have done some custom sign work for me. Everything is completed in a timely manner, and their prices are very reasonable.
Bill's Towing is the only company I will call around the Sunnyside and Grandview area. I broke down at McDonalds one day. They were there within 15 minutes! They towed my car and parked it safely and efficiently in a spot that was pretty tight. They also billed my insurance directly. Their rates are very reasonable, and their service is professional.
After trying to get another septic service out for over a week, I called Valley Septic. They came out the very next day at the time they said they would. Their driver was friendly, helpful, and called me back to let me know when he would be returning again. I will definitely use these guys the next time.
Unfortunately, my experience with Cliff's was not a good one. I called them to come and pump out my parked RV. They never showed up and never called back. I called again, and they said they would be out that same day. Again, they never called and never showed up. I finally got another company after waiting almost a week. I never did receive a call from Cliff's.
The Princess Theater had a full remodel a couple of years ago. The atmosphere is very pleasant with the old fashioned elegance of Hollywood. They occasionally show old movies there, and have a play with live actors sometimes as well. I'm looking forward to attending some of their productions in the future.
The cinema in Sunnyside has easy access right off the freeway, and they always play the latest movies released. They are usually clean, and the popcorn is good with lots of toppings. Their price is a bit more than the bigger cities, but it saves money by not having to spend the gas money.
