I shop at the Co-op for health reasons, and, as can be expected, Mermaid Sushi offers healthy choices. The ready-made combinations include nigiri, spicy rolls, and seaweed salad. There are other options, and you can also call in ahead of time with a special request. The servings are generous, but the prices are a little high. I paid $8.49 for a nigiri combo that consisted of two pieces of eel, two pieces of salmon, and two pieces of tuna. A 12-piece spicy roll (an equal amount of shrimp, tuna, and salmon) cost $5.99 (it was tasty, but it wasn't really spicy). Being a college student, these are only for special treats!
This store sells a variety of calendars - normal monthly ones as well as daily ones in every possible theme. I don't remember this store being here before - maybe it's just a seasonal thing, but if you're looking for a calendar for a gift (or for yourself) this store has a huge selection and the prices are typical.
I live in Irvine, but since there's hardly any Vietnamese food I came to Westminster to find pho. This is the first place I spotted after I got off the freeway and I really like it. The service isn't amazing, but they give you lots of meat in the pho, all the portions are huge, and the prices are really reasonable. It's also open pretty late, which is really convenient since nothing in Irvine is open past 10.
This store is located in Westfield Mall and it has such an amazing selection of tea. There's all different flavors (from wintery holiday tea when it's in season to green teas, black teas, fruit flavored teas, etc.) and it's organized so that you can see descriptions of all the different kinds. They also have samples of some of the tea and a good number of the teas can be bought loose and it's so fresh. It's a really cute store, the workers are helpful, and the prices are reasonable. Since I love tea I'll definitely be back.
There are so many frozen yogurt shops around and I don't think that Cherry on Top stands out particularly among them. It's self serve and has a decent selection of yogurt flavors and toppings but not as many as Yogurtland and for a slightly higher price. It's located far enough from campus that it can be inconvenient if you don't have a car, although it's always been less crowded (no out the door lines), so if you are willing to pay a bit more it's much faster.
We recently found ourselves in Japantown in San Francisco and found this place to eat lunch. They had a lunch special for $7.95 that was absolutely delicious. There was a variety of items served in a sectioned-off box-like 'plate' and each was so good. It turned out to be a lot of food and was very filling. A great bargain for the price. I'll definitely be back!
My aunt went to Dr. Baker and thought he was a great doctor. He did a couple of surgeries for her and she just felt like he really cared. He made her feel very comfortable during each step of the way and put her totally at ease for each surgery she had. He also has a really great office staff and if anyone is in need of a surgeon in Concord, try going to Dr. Baker!
I recently introduced my family to this small restaurant and they were very impressed with how delicious the food was. We each ordered the lamb shawerma (can have spicy or not) and some falafel balls and it was more than satisfying. The shawermas were big for some but made for great leftovers. There is a lot of parking, although it gets crowded with the variety of restaurants offered. This is one of the best!
This store is full of not only what you would normally expect in a regular hardware store, but all kinds of little Japanese knick-knacks that are fun to browse through. They had some cute little charms that I couldn't resist plus some rolls of paper that were good for hobbies. Right in the heart of Japantown.
The restaurant front is small, but the room is deep and nicely arranged. We had lunch and enjoyed the food so much we returned for dinner. The flavors are great and not as greasy as many other restaurants. The prices are extremely reasonable and the service is good.
