Tacone Flavor Grill
I came here once with my friend when we were just checking out what was in the District. We got one of the grilled sandwiches and it was pretty good. I also thought the fries were really good too! It might be a but pricey but the their proportions are pretty good. It's enough to make you full.
Noize Music
This place is pretty small, but they have a lot of CDs as well as posters. Students who go to UCI often go there to buy new CDs. Not only do they have new artists but they also have older artists which is pretty cool.
Video Tokyo
This place is a good place to rent videos or DVDs. It doesn't even cost that much to rent them. If you are Japanese and want Japanese subtitles with English movies, or if you love Japanese dramas or TV shows, then this is the place to go.
H&R BLOCK
I stayed here once when I went snowboarding with my friends and we all loved it! They have a ps2 in the room so you can rent DVDs from the lobby for free and watch them. I believe that they also give you free popcorn and redbulls! There was also a jacuzzi and a pool table at the lobby! The price wasn't that expensive either.
Pho Tasia
I usually go to this place to eat pho or egg noodles because it is near my house. The food is affordable and tastes pretty good. They actually have a variety of dishes, but I usually like to get the egg noodles.
Shinsengumi Yakitori
I love Shinsengumi because their food is always delicious. Shinsengumi is one of the few yakitori places I know and I think it's the best one out of any of them. If you love to eat yakitori then this is the place to be!
Bear Mountain
It's a pretty good place to snowboard or ski. The mountains not too small and there are many different courses to take. They offer ski or snowboard schools there and you can rent equipment. However, the equipment is a bit expensive compared to other places, so I recommend renting it somewhere else and then going to the mountains.
Apple Valley Lodge
My friends and I stopped here when we were on our way to Big Bear. The price was pretty cheap, but no one seemed to be staying at the place. The room was kinda dark and it was a little sketchy, but its good enough to just spend a night there.
Sanseido Bookstore
Sanseido is conveniently located inside of Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa. They mostly only have Japanese books and manga since it is a Japanese place. They also sell CDs of Japanese artists.
Jim's Music Center
This place is relatively small compared to chain stores like Guitar Center, but they have many different instruments from classical instruments to rock instruments as well as some scores. They also offer private music lessons there.
