China Garden
This place gets crowded after the first 30 minutes right when it opens. They have really good dim sum there. My favorite was the tofu dessert, which was basically tofu in warm syrup. The one downside is that the servers have difficulty understanding English.
Sanuki No Sato Restaurant
Sanuki no Sato has very good udon, which are Japanese noodles. Of course, they have other things besides noodles, but they are known for it. I always used to go here with my family and we all loved it! If you love udon, then I recommend Sanuki No Sato
Marukai Corp
This is definitely one of my favorite super markets. If you've been to Mitsuwa, it is just like it, but in a smaller scale and a bit cheaper. I like this place because they have a small food court inside of it in which you can have different types of food. One down side of this place is that you need a membership card, but it is worth it!
Coco Beauty Salon
This is the place I always go to in order to get a hair cut because I've been going there for the last 7 years or so. Only one lady, who is the owner, works there by herself, but she is very friendly. She gives very good hair cuts, and has cut hair for Japanese celebrities. I love this place because you bring in a picture of what kind of hair cut you want and she will do it for you.
Oki Doki Restaurant
This place is very small for a restaurant, but their food is great! I personally love this place because I am Japanese and I know what real Japanese food tastes like. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking to eat some delicious authentic Japanese food.
Raku Raku Sushi
This place isn't much of a big place, but they have good food. Not only do they have good sushi, but other dishes that are tasty as well. I've been to the one in Lake Forest and they have good lunch specials for a reasonable price.
Santouka Ramen
This place has very good ramen and is located inside Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa. I think they have one of the best miso ramens around the city. My personal favorite is the kara miso ramen. It is basically a spicy miso ramen, so it is recommended if you love spicy things. The price can be a bit pricey but the food is definitely worth it!
Tsuruhashi
I've only been to this place once, but it is definitely one of the best Japanese BBQ places to be. The price is very reasonable for how great the food tastes there. They have a variety of meat that you can choose from. This place is quite popular and I recommend going, if you are craving for Korean or Japanese BBQ.
Koguma
Koguma Youchien actually moved to a new location at 4947 Alton Parkway in Irvine. This preschool is a great for little kids to learn Japanese and make new friends. The teachers there are very nice and have a lot of experience in being preschool teachers. This place is definitely recommended to parents who want their children to learn Japanese. Sometimes they are limited in the amount of children they can take, so you might be wait listed, but it is definitely worth the wait.
Sound Arena Studios
This rehearsal studio is hidden and very hard to find, but the employers are very friendly and they will let you borrow and equipments needed. Backline is the place that I always go to in order to have band practices. The prices are reasonable and they also have a showcase room in which you can have a small concert for your friends and family.
