It is all through the eyes of the beholder. While the seats may be very worn out and theatre very small it is one of my favorite theatres. They get great independent films and have real popcorn. You will get a more authentic experience here verses other larger theatres. It offers a refreshing change of pace.
You may pay a bit more but we have not found a better mechanic. We have always found a very reliable and trustworthy opinion about our cars and the best diagnostics. Last time we had a large expense on our car we called them for a second opinon and they spoke to us for over 30 minutes even though they knew we weren't going to have our car serviced with them. They told us that since we had been there in the past we were still one of their clients. You rarely encounter this type of customer service.
She is very intelligent and comforable to interact with, not to mention extremely gentle and kind to my daughter. The other pediatricians are equally great. I look forward to my daughter going here in the years to come
I love to see movies here due to the nice size, location and cleanliness of the theatre. My favorite aspect is the summer movies on the lawn. It is a great way to spend an evening at an affordable price, you can pack a picnic dinner and watch a film in the grass. Affordable and charming.
They have a great selection of toys, books and music. They are more unique toys that you can't find in large box stores. Lots of wooden, educational toys and hard to find items that make great, special gifts.
We found our realtor on a whim through Weaver and she was magical! She was very casual and easy to quickly become comfortable around yet still maintained a professional manner and proved to be very expedient and efficient. It is often hard to find a realtor who you feel is down to earth. This is the place to go if that is what you would like. We were with Melanie Maxwell (changed her last name now) and will go to her when the time comes to sell our house again. Very unique realty group.
I started taking classes here during my pregnancy and immediatley became addicted to yoga. The studio's are beautifull located in the old mill in carrboro and have beautiful hardwood floors and soaring ceilings. The staff are always welcoming. I always know that I needed to go to a class after the hour is over. It grounds me and helps me energize for the week ahead. It's nice to go grab a bite at Weaver Street Market after a class too!
I have purchased numerous gifts here and was very excited when they opened. We have needed a retail shop that focuses on sustainable, local products. It ranges from compost buckets to jewelry to clothing to beautiful purses and bags. It is a great addition and fulfills a niche that was wide open in this progressive area
McIntyre's is very nostalgic of the bookstores I went to when I was young. It is warm, a bit dimmed and has a fireplace with seating in one of the rooms. I often go here just to get away and lose myself flipping through fiction books even if I don't buy anything. You may pay a little bit more but you are supporting a rare, local business. It is so much better than big box bookstores.
I have purchased too many consignment items here to mention. Even our crib and my glider/rocker in the nursery. They tend to sell only lightly used items but you can definitley save a few bucks here. Not only are there various consigment items but they also support local artists handmade items and other popular new brands. I love it here and you can accumlate a gift card for $20 off every $200 (I think) that you spend. It's a great store to have in Carrboro. I love it.
