Whidbey Island Antiques is a great place to browse when you're out strolling the town of Langley. The items you'll find there are unique and can make nice, artistic additions to your home. They get new stuff pretty frequently so you won't get bored when you go back next time!
Joe's Island Music offers a fantastic selection of new and used acoustic guitars, replacement strings, pics, and great song and instruction books. The friendly service is wonderful and the salespeople are great at answering your questions. Be sure to check out the CDs as well!
I really enjoyed the gourmet foods I sampled at the Primo Bistro. They offer anything from French onion soup, to the house smoked salmon sandwich, to roasted free range chicken breast. This is a great spot for a gathering and you can be sure that the menu will have something for everyone!
When I was shopping in Langley for Christmas gifts, I was very impressed with the jewelry at Linds. Their selection of earrings, necklaces, and rings was great and items were unique. I expected prices to be pretty high, but they were actually quite good!
El Corral is one of only a few Mexican places on Whidbey. The food is pretty ordinary and not very exciting to the palate. They offer most traditional Mexican dishes, but the food tends to be greasier than necessary.
Ken's Korner Red Apple is a convenient place to stop for a good lunch or snack, as well as general groceries. Run by locals, this is a community gathering spot on Whidbey, which gives it a small-town feel. The service is very good and the selection is fairly large.
This Red Apple grocery store is a fine choice for all your produce, meats, baked goods, and more. The store is run by friendly locals and the service is great. Even though the store is not extremely big, there is a wide selection and items are well-stocked.
If you're looking to stay in Langley, the Saratoga Inn offers a great, cozy spot to enjoy great views and local entertainment. The Inn is furnished with great style and the porches are complete with rockers for sharing good conversation. After a lovely breakfast in the commons, you should venture out and enjoy the surrounding areas or hiking, biking, boating, kayaking or exploring the quaint town of Langley.
When we visit the island, Besta-Round is our favorite pizza eatery. The crust is nice and chewy and perfectly cooked. The service is reliable and the prices are affordable.
I would strongly recommend the Critters and Co. in Clinton for your pet needs. They have live animals (fish, cats/kittens, birds, reptiles, and rodents up for adoption), as well as lots of food and supplies. They also offer grooming services and boarding for dogs and cats.
