It's a pretty nice shop with a fair selection of instruments. The staff are very knowledgeable and all know what they are talking about. They don't only offer new and used gear, but also give out lessons and do repairs on all instruments for a reasonable price. For musicians interested, there's also a full service recording studio. Definitely a place to check out.
Not like your average Asian supermarket found in Long Beach, Kim Long is a cut above the rest. Kim Long offers a large array of items from different Asian ethnic backgrounds, so I recommend this place if you're looking for good deals and looking for that one ingredient. Fresh vegetables, fresh meats, and if you're hungry, there's a little fast food spot found near the entrance. Definitely shop here.
For a doughnut shop that isn't a chain, the place is quite large! There's a lot of variety here (they sell ice cream, too!), and all the doughnuts taste great. Very easy place to spot since it's facing the street, and there's more than enough parking. Give this place a try!
Granny's Donuts are one of the best places to grab these little treats if you're craving them or need something on the go before work or school. The only gripe I have about this particular location is the neighborhood that it's in. Definitely not one of the best, but if you're craving doughnuts, I would recommend giving this place a try.
I'm surprised with how many Granny's there are in Long Beach! The best part about them, is that they all taste great. Definitely drop by Granny's and have a taste of their doughnuts, you won't regret it.
A cozy little place, Marina Donuts is a great place to drop by for a quick fix. The bakers are really cool, so don't be afraid to make friends with them if you stop by every morning.
The greatest thing about this place is that there's a lot of parking here. In the mornings, when school's in session, expect a lot of high school students making a stop at the shop. A great place to check out, try their crissonts.
Purple Onion carries more than just exotic lingerie, and that isn't a bad thing! The selection of items here are very large, and the staff are cool, too. Stop by the Purple Onion if you're interested in adult products.
The place doesn't have all the comics in the world because the space doesn't permit it to, but it's definitely worth checking out. It holds more newer and recent comics than they do old ones, so if you're looking to find a new issue, this is the place to check out. They sell more than comics here, such as action figures, model kits and calendars, so I recommend coming here.
The kits that they keep here aren't too bad. Not the biggest of selections, but definitely a good place to come check out. They stock up on the usual here, brushes, airbrushes, domestic and Japanese paints, so if you just need to pick up some equipment come on by.
