Pizzas at Abo's are in that big, relatively thin crust, slightly greasy New York style. They're quite tasty and a good value. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait for the pizza, but video games in the back of the establishment help stave off boredom, especially for kids.
I've only gotten to-go pizza from Proto's, partially because it often looks a bit crowded inside. The pizza is quite good, though-- fairly thin crust and a zesty sauce. A pretty reasonable value.
When I was in high school, during the summers, we would go running from the Boulder Chill and then end up back there so we could enjoy a cold treat. The staff is very friendly at the Chill, and while there's not a ton of seating, I've never had to wait for a place to sit. They have good waffle cones at this shop.
I really like the ice cream at Glacier's. It is creamy and neither too cold nor too melty. They have tasty shakes, too; I believe they come in big Styrofoam cups, which is unfortunate, though.
Moe's makes superb bagels in a wide variety of flavors, and they sell them toasted or not, with many different spreads from which to choose-- plain and flavored cream cheese, peanut butter, jelly, butter, etc. It's a fun location near downtown Boulder usually buzzing with people going about their daily routines.
The Great Harvest Bread Company sells a goodly selection of hearty and tasty breads, and they always have bread out for customers to try. I like that you can see part of the bakery operation going on behind the counter and that they have a featured bread of the month.
This location is now closed. This was a fine store with a great selection of Mexican items and decent values on just about everything except the produce, which sometimes spoiled quickly.
The pharmacists at the King Soopers in Gunbarrel are very friendly and willing to explain drugs, refill procedures, etc. My family has used this pharmacy for a long time and has been very satisfied.
Located in the heart of Boulder, Ideal Market is a quaint small market offering lots of organic and healthy options. The prices are perhaps a bit high, but they have a pretty good selection of items. The staff is friendly and efficient.
My mom always brings home great chocolates and other candies from the Brewing Market. I think they're a touch on the expensive side but very delicious. They even have things like maple candy that are a bit tricky to find. My favorite thing from Brewing Market is a sturdy insulated mug with a screw-top lid to prevent spills.
