Ovations is an open-air pavilion overlooking the meadow at Wolf Trap. It is open during performances at the Filene Center. The menu has a la carte items, plus a wonderful buffet. The buffet features dishes from area restaurants. The buffet is $25 and has a number of entrees, sides, salads, and desserts. It's very enjoyable sitting outside in the midst of beautiful surroundings and eating delicious food! Check out the menu here:http://www.mealsbeneaththemoon.com/components/pdfs/ovations-menu.pdf
This small restaurant has a very friendly staff. I had the Cappellini al Antonios -- clams, scallops, crab meat, and mushrooms. It was pretty good. I thought that the food here was on the expensive side.
I like going to Aphrodite to buy spices. If I would buy the same prices in the same quantity at a regular grocery store, it would be very expensive. The spices come in a plastic container, like you'd get at the deli counter.
I really like the pizza here. It's nice and crisp. The service is quick. Mushroom lovers will enjoy the Funghi, which has fresh mushrooms and spinach. I also like the Amata (sausage, tomatoes, and cheese). The price is great too!
I usually don't like to go shopping, but this is the type of store where it's fun just to browse. Lots of unique furniture, plus all sizes of paintings and mirrors, very reasonably priced. It is a little hard to find the store though.
I bought my car here five years ago, but took it back for the regular maintenance. The car buying experience was a little rough because he had a sales person with an attitude. After walking out, the manager came out and talked to us, assigned a different sales person, and, all went well from there.I liked taking my car her to have oil changes and other routine maintenance. It's nice being able to schedule an appointment and not having to try to get there before everyone else. The work done was always been good.
I had a bookcase custom made and am very happy with it. I picked out the style that I wanted, chose the type of wood and color of stain, and it was made the exact size that I requested. The price wasn't bad. There are also very nice premade items that you can order.
I love going to Meadows Farms Nurseries. There is so much variety. The hanging baskets are beautiful and a good value. There are trees, shrubs, annual, and perennials. They carry nice flower pots, potting soil, and whatever else you need too.
The restaurant is small but I love the cozy booths. Whenever I go for lunch, I usually get the Chinese Chicken Salad. The pulled pork is very good too. There is a different sandwich and pasta special daily, and, I've never been disappointed with anything that I've had.
My mother is German and really likes this store. There are lots of German foods, beer, and wine. Plus there are some cute gift items. The prices are a little high, but it's worth it.
