On 8/5/10 an employee sold me a $445 carpet treatment (P.U.R.T. Pet Urine Removal Treatment) he said would eliminate the pet urine odor. He said this product always worked, and if it didn't they would keep coming back until it did. While they were in my home the two employees doing the work scratched my hardwood floor in two places moving my furniture.
Since the odor was still present I called the company and requested they reapply, I also told them about the floor. They said someone would come by to look at the floor and the carpet. More than one follow-up appointment was missed by the company (they didn't show up) and at least once they showed up at my home unannounced.
No one has come to look at the scratches in my floor.
One employee came (unannounced) to work on the carpet. He seems to have added a perfume to my carpet in an attempt to cover up the smell, so now my house smells like perfume.
The urine odor is still present, my floors are still scratched, and I'm out $445. The invoice (which I did not see until AFTER the product was applied) says there is no guarantee P.U.R.T. will remove the odor, which directly contradicts what I was told by the employee.
I contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. The BBB "made several attempts to contact the business regarding your complaint. We regret to inform you that we have not received a response from the company."
This company might do a good job at cleaning standard stains, but I do NOT recommend this P.U.R.T. treatment. Save your money for new carpet and don't believe anyone at this company if they "guarantee" or "promise" this will work. It won't.
Not all kids are alike. Telling a mother having a difficult time with a baby (my second) to go read a book without first asking questions and understanding the family history is insulting.
Likewise, telling a mother who is very tired and working to resolve some sleep issues that postponing shots (to avoid having 2 problems at once) is harmful to her child is not at all helpful.
Dr. Byrum needs to listen more and not make assumptions.
While other dentists seemed to recommend procedures that make them the most money, Dr. Roznik recommends procedures to save your teeth. He is very conservative and makes recommendations based on your best interests.
This firm did two renovations on my 60 yr old house as well as some smaller projects. Each time they showed up when they said they would, clearly communicated the project status, and were very upfront about their expenses and profits.
Unlike the first company we used for a remodel, they did not ask for any upfront money and showed us bills weekly. Payment was due at the end of the week. Each project was completed within a reasonable time of their original estimate estimate.
Prior projects were a full-scale kitchen remodel that included knocking down a wall, and a den remodel that included built-ins. Their most recently project was installing a closet and doing some minor repairs.
A nice selection of Stride Rite and other name brand kid's shoes. They have a frequent buyers club that gives you $ off your first pair and then a discount on a future pair.
Very nice people.
This is a new group but it's off to a great start! A great place to get local info (schools, pediatrician recommendations, happenings) and to meet local moms.
It's free, you just need to register. LRM is part of The Mommies Network, a national non-profit organization.
This is a very dynamic and fun school. My only complaint is the parking, which is a pretty minor thing. It's in an old neighborhood so they are land-locked. My son is learning a lot there.
I can't say enough great things about this chiro/PT practice. My husband and I have gotten great care there and they really helped my 5 year old with his digestive issues (he no longer says his tummy hurts) and treated my infant son as well.
Fantastic equipment there...you'll get better faster since you're getting a lot more than just an adjustment.
My family worked out at ACSE for about 5 years before moving away from Charlotte a few months ago. Very open and pleasant facility with modern equipment, great locker rooms and great childcare. Very nice staff.
My '08 SRX was delivered a week ago, after dinner. The next morning we took a look at the car and were shocked to see that it was not clean. There were scuff marks on the doors, crusty dirt around the gear shift, a "no smoking" sticker on the ash tray, and something that looked like a booger on the dash (we're hoping it was some type of epoxy).
There was also a gouge near the gear shift.
