El Balazo has great burritos and gives you a choice of black or refried beans. They also have a couple different types of rice, including saffron. The service is very quick for the volume and the establishment is clean. Unfortunately, I think it is overpriced. I paid over $7.00 for a bean and cheese burrito.
Kavanagh's has been around for a long time. They have a great selection of spirits as well as ales. Clean establishment and friendly service. Prices are fair.
Noland's cake shop has been around for many years. We used them for several family occasions. First, for my sister's wedding cake, it was awesome!!! Second, for my sister's bridal shower cake and thirdly for my sister's baby shower cake. All were excellent.
Don't let the "laser" in the name fool you. They provide excellent skin care consultation and facials that have absolutely nothing to do with lasers. Their cosmetics are world class. Highly recommend this little day spa.
I graduated from Cabrillo about a decade ago. I have fond memories of my time there and had world class teachers. I went on to a University and received my B.A. Cabrillo is an excellent junior college. I cannot recommend this school more highly.
This place has been around forever. It's clean, the service is adequate and the steaks are good. Nothing super special, but if you are looking for a good steak without a lot of fanfare, this is a good place to go.
Stagnaro is more of an "institution" of the Santa Cruz wharf than a restaurant. If you've never been, you really should make a point to try it out. The views are spectacular and the chowder is excellent. It's also a great place to purchase fresh fish.
This restaurant was adequate. The service was good, it was clean and the food was good. It just wasn't anything spectacular and was a bit overpriced in my opinion.
The ambience leaves a bit to be desired, but if you are looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food, don't skip Tampico when you're downtown. The chile rellenos are to die for. The salsa is just the right amount of spicy and the fajitas are out of this world.
The Santa Cruz municipal wharf has its share of great restaurants and Gilda's is definitely one of them. The restaurant has a friendly ambience with a beautiful view of the bay. The fish was fresh and prepared with style. I highly recommend Gilda's.
