We love Toppers pizza- they deliver very quickly, and their specialty pizzas are wonderful... we order the California Topper and the C-B-R on a regular basis. Our kids love the Topperstix, especially the pepperonistix.
I go to this farmers market every Saturday... they are the largest farmers market in the region, and have three open-air warehouses during the busy summer months. I have no trouble finding organic produce (and just pesticide-free produce) every week. There's a great selection of grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, and free-range eggs. I also buy locally made goat cheese, shiitake mushrooms, jams/preserves, breads, and fresh-cut flowers. The prices are great, especially for locally-grown food... where else can I buy a red bell pepper, pesticide-free, for $1? My only piece of advice is to go early and have patience- the crowds are big and it can take a little while to make it through the warehouses.
This is a very kid-friendly restaurant with quick service. We usually order pizza by the slice, but as another review mentioned they do have fantastic garlic knots as well. Salads are on the small side but not too pricey. It's a nice option for a quick meal when you're not in the mood for typical fast food.
We have used this limousine service on three occasions- for a girls night out, an evening uptown event, and their towncar service for trips to and from the airport. Each time the driver has been on time and the cars immaculate... service was first-rate. Their rates are comparable, if not a little less, than other limousine companies with whom I have done business. I will call them first whenever we have transportation needs in the future.
My husband and I take all of our cars to Starmount Automotive for inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs. They do motorcycle inspections too, by the way! Donnie (the owner) is an honest, dependable guy who charges a fair price for quality work, and stands behind his mechanics and the work that they perform. (They also have a hysterically funny bird in their waiting area that will keep you entertained while you wait, lol!)
I have visited the South Boulevard location a dozen times or so, and it really seems to be the place to see and be seen. Great hush puppies and beef brisket. I wasn't so impressed with their pulled pork barbecue- I've had better at other restaurants in Charlotte (Bill Spoon's and McKoy's come to mind). Their brunswick stew, as much as I hate to say it, is just awful... I ordered it three different times hoping I had just previously caught the restaurant on a bad night, but no. But if you're looking for a social hot spot that's very "Charlotte", Mac's is a great choice.
This is always the first place I shop for special-occasion clothing for my little ones. The have wonderful boutique clothing with the lowest prices I have found anywhere. Great customer service and fantastic sales too.
not much on the way of decor or high-end food, just simply a little neighborhood bar with good bar food. The bathrooms crack me up, especially the sign on the women's room door!
Love, love, love this restaurant... my husband and I celebrate our birthdays, anniversary and Valentine's at this restaurant again and again. Excellent service, entrees are expensive but worth it... my current favorite is the beef tournedoes. Extra-romantic on the nights that the pianist plays in the bar area.
I've been visiting this restaurant since it opened a couple of years ago. Love their pot roast, barbecue chicken, wings and ribs. They smoke all the meat with pecan wood, and the flavor is incredible. Half the time I end up getting a vegetable plate though, because I can't make up my mind which side is the best. Mac n cheese, collard greens, fried squash, fried okra, sweet potato fries... I always leave feeling stuffed like Thanksgiving. A ton of food for the money!
Waitresses are friendly, seems like a good neighborhood hangout at night. The only negative I can think of is that it can get a little smoky, especially late-night... lunch is never bad though.
