This is a great place to watch a rodeo if you have never seen one before. Its mostly local boys, but there are a few that come in just for this rodeo, just not many. Thurston pretty much does the same clown show each year, but its still funny. Its not a huge rodeo, but its still a great place to take the kids for something fun to do. It has a great family atmosphere. They also have a concession stand with popcorn, peanuts, and drinks.
Great place! They just moved and re opened so everything is new and very nice! The bar is excellent, they can make anything you want and have all the good stuff on tap. They play a mixture of music, so most people will like it most of the time.
Good Time Charlies is a private club for old men! Honestly, its really packed with 50+ year old men most nights of the week. They will not serve you if you are not a member and you can not be a member if you are younger. They want to keep the younger people out because they dont want it to turn into a trouble spot. My dad was a member and it was the only place he would go to grab a beer because it was all his friends. If you are older and looking for some friends, this is where you will find them. If you are under 50, go somewhere else!
Blvd is a decent place to have a couple drinks, but things tend to get a little out of hand frequently. This place has changed ownership and names so many times in the last couple years, its hard to keep straight. When Blvd came, they remodeled quite a few things and so it is pretty nice in there. Its usually packed and can be a lot of fun, but when it gets late and people have had lots of drinks, it can get very rowdy. My advice is go in, have a few drinks and get out!
We have tried to go to Happy Days a couple times, just to grab a drink before going out. It is a private club and they do not seem to like new people. They really did not even speak to us, but we were not allowed to order and they never asked us if we wanted to buy memebership or anything. They just kind of looked at us like we were crazy for walking into their place. Its a very small hole in the wall bar. I would not recommend even trying to go there unless you know someone who can get you in.
Dino's is a huge place, 3 levels. Each level plays a different kind of music. Sometimes they have live bands. You can also rent out a level for a private party. THe "basement" level is usually rented. Its the smaller level but still has a bar and dance floor and furniture. Each level has its own bar and there are pool tables on the middle level. Its pretty big and can be fun, but usually there just arent a lot of people there.
The Frontier is a country bar for the older crowd. They play old country music, none of the newer pop country. They have a bunch of pool tables and 2 bars and a big dance floor with a live house band that is actually pretty good. There is something for everyone to do. Its a pretty good country bar, but most people are 40ish or older.
Mr Waffle has the same type of food as the Waffle House only much better! They have a few things that the Waffle House does not have including the best livermush around! They also have excellent hot fudge cake! We used to stop there just to get a hot fudge cake! If you are around, you should stop by for a quick bite to eat. I especially advise going at 3 am!
The service is always great everytime I go. I have never been disapointed with the food. Its not the best Mexican I have ever had, but its pretty good and the Margaritas are Excellent! The prices are fair and the people are nice. Its pretty good, but just not the best.
The Arsenal is really a fireworks place, but they do sell some pretty good hotdogs. The hotdogs are the only thing they sell that is edible though! If you are looking for a quick snack grab one and a box of sparklers!
