I like the Coffee Mill. The coffee is good and reasonable priced. There is a variety of seating and you can linger for hours and they don't bother you. Right across the hall is the Flip Side restaurant in case you get hungry for more than just pastries.
Mast General Store is modeled after the old general stores of a bygone era. They sell everything from local honey and jams to hiking gear, handcrafted wood toys and sock monkeys to bullets for your hunting guns.
The food at the restaurant at this Inn is delicious. I've never stayed at the Inn, but have dined there several times. It's a bit expensive, but a nice evening out. Call before you go because they have limited hours depending on the season.
I like Dr. Karriker, but her office is always packed. I guess that is a good testament to her skill but it also means you have a long wait whenever you go in.
I really like Nurse Boykin. I started seeing her because my regular doctor was unavailable one visit and have continued. She is kind and takes the time to discuss any concerns I might have regarding treatment.
We had a sad experience with this vet. Our dog was hit by a car and our regular vet was closed. This one was open so we rushed her there. Sadly, she didn't make it. But this vet office was so great! They sent flowers, took a clay imprint of her paw for us, and took care of her body, all without charging us a dime! I couldn't believe how kind they were during our time of sadness. We moved away from the area a couple of weeks later, but had we stayed we would have started bringing our other pets to this vet. I want to thank them for how they handled everything. It made a very sad time a little more bearable.
We took our dogs to Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital at the recommendation of a family member. We were happy with the service, but we found another vet that was a lot cheaper so we switched.
We purchased our bed from Original Mattress Factory. The prices were much less expensive than other stores in the area. They mattress was delivered within a couple of days to our satisfaction.
We hired South End Moving Co to come pack up our house when we moved because I was 8 months pregnant and unable to pack everything myself. They arrived on time and completed the work quickly, however some items got broken in the process. Most frustratingly is that they paid to replace the broken coffee pot, but would not pay to have the dents they put in the piano fixed. Who cares about a $10 coffee pot??? The piano repairs cost hundreds of dollars and they refused to cover them. I wish I had taken before pictures so I could prove it was them that damaged the piano.
Michelle Hess was the closing attorney when we purchased out home. Everything was completed quickly and professionally. She showed us where to sign and then handed us the key and that was it.
