I started using this cleaners because of a promotional offering to pick-up and deliver at my home with some discount cards ($1 off each item, $5 off order, etc.). I've stuck with it to recoup my initial outlay (to buy the discount cards) but it hasn't been a good experience. They have frequently not come when I've scheduled a pick-up. When I drop off they don't deliver when they are supposed to. They leave my clothes in the wrong spot. They have cheated me out of discounts and even claimed that they don't have my clothes after they have picked up. I'm shopping for a new service1
Salon Ambiance is a good salon - not too big or too small - with great group of hair artists. I've followed Robert Raymond for several years now. He does great color (and I've tried a lot of them!) and cuts that really fit my life...and still work the next day when I'm on my own. I regularly get strangers asking me where I get my hair done. He's also expert in extensions. Sopi, the owner, does the most amazing up-dos you can imagine. Watching her work is something akin to a magic show.
Dance Threadz is a great store for ballet supplies. They really take the time to fit your dancer correctly which is crucial, especially in pointe shoes. If you find yourself buying a specific item regularly, they can put you on a revolving order system so you never find that the shoes your dancer needs for the show this weekend are out-of-stock. They will even coordinate with local studios and schools to ensure teacher determined items are on hand when you need them. Plus, Mary Lou really knows dance in HB and is a resource as well as just plain interesting to talk to.
