Backdoor Steak House
I love this place. The restaurant is built in an old gas station so the inside is very unique. They have antiques as their wall decor. I thought it was pretty cool that you get all you can peanuts and can throw the shells on the ground. :) It's a very laid back restaurant. We've always gone there for the ribs.
Roma's Italian Restaurant
For being somewhat of a rundown town, I think this is one of their best restaurants. They have a great menu selection and the portions are gracious. There isn't any alcohol served but it is still a highly recommended place to eat.
Grapevine Cafe
I am not sure many people know about this cafe. It is kind of hidden downtown. It's very small and the hours are a bit odd. The Greek Chicken Salad was delicious, probably the best in the area. The prices are reasonable as well.
Sun City Tanning & Fitness
I was impressed with this place. They had a dozen different kind of tanning beds. Since I am fair skinned they had me start in the tanning bed with low lights and gradually increase the intensity. They even had a standing tanning bed. That was different.
Duluth Omnimax Theatre
This was a pretty cool experience. I went to see a film about Arctic caves. I actually went with the kids from Kid's Club and they all enjoyed it. At first it made me a little dizzy but once you get used to being surrounded by a screen, it was pretty amazing.
Point Bowl Inc
Every time we're visiting family in Stevens Pt. we always find time to bowl a few frames. It's like any standard bowling alley. I was impressed that it didn't smell like cigarette smoke. :)
Park Ridge Cafe
This is a very quaint place. It reminds me of a 50's Diner in some way. It's quiet and never really busy. The food is cheap and a good filler-upper.
Hilltop Pub & Grill Restaurant
I love the atmosphere. The entrance to the restaurant is constructed like a huge wooden barrel. The service is quick and Friday's Fish and Chips are the best.
Bengtson Family Dental
This was my dentist for 20 years. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He's always kind and gentle with my teeth. He referred me to an orthodontist in Henderson and I am forever grateful because I have really healthy and straight teeth.
La Cheveux-Sunlife Beauty
They have a really good tanning bed. I wasn't never disappointed but I can't say it was the best thing for my skin. This is a nice little place, but for your skin's sake, don't tan ANYWHERE! The people here are wonderful people and they have hired younger stylists. That's a huge plus.
