Christian Bookshelf
I have been to this store twice and enjoyed browsing around both times. It is hard to find Veggie Tale movies and books at other book stores so this is definitely the place to go for that. I also found a few Christian CD's that I have been wanting to buy. Check this place out.
First Command Financial Plan
I really can't complain about First Command. The advisers are great and absolutely friendly. I will be the first to admit financing is not my forte but First Command explained things in ways I could actually understand.
Frosty's
This is the place to go for over 15 different choices of ice cream. We've been going to this place for years and I must say the new owners are much more friendly than the previous ones. :) They don't just serve ice cream, their pizza is pretty good as well. They are extremely busy in the summer.
Patrick's Fine Dining
This is one of my family's favorite spot to go out to eat in such a small town. I like that they have actual liter mugs to drink your beer from. :) Don't expect fast service though and the waitresses aren't always as friendly as you'd hope.
Betty's Pies
I never had a pasty until my husband took me to this place. They are delicious!!! Definitely worth the stop. We always stop here on our way to Gooseberry Falls State Park. Service is quick and waitresses are very friendly.
Edgewater Resort and Water Park
Even though the rooms are mediocre I would still recommend staying here especially if you get a room that outlooks the lake. I also recommend this place for weddings. My husband and I had our reception here and it was absolutely gorgeous and their catering was well done. They have a pretty good wedding package deal for rooms, catering...etc. Worth looking into. This was before they had the Water Park so that is just an extra bonus. If you stay at the Edgewater, the water park is free.
Engwall Florist & Greenhouse
I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone who is planning a wedding. I have nothing bad to say about this business. The florists are extremely kind and will help you out any way they can. The prices aren't that bad either.
Bulldog Pizza & Grill
This will always have a special place in my heart because this is where my husband and I met. :) I remember ordering a taco pizza and it was delicious. Great college atmosphere. You can even watch them make pizza! Good times.
Black Woods Grill & Bar
Sure it's upper class prices but I think it's worth it. I love the train they have going around the restaurant. it's entertaining. I thought their food was great and very filling.
Lincoln Park 9 Hole Golf Crse
I don't know much about the golf course. I think it looks pretty nice. I bike around it and there is always someone golfing. This review is mainly for the park. I love this park. I love the trails. The playground for the children. The shelters for big parties. You even can play golf Frisbee. Check out this park.
