I saw Dr Buten for about a year before I became unhappy with him as my OB/GYN. I didn't have any problems with the staff & actually enjoyed going besides feeling rushed at each visit, by both the nurses who saw me before him & during my time in the office with him. I had fertility issues so it took awhile to get pregnant & once I did become pregnant, I was notified by voicemail on a Friday morning. All the message said was "The bloodwork came back & it shows you're pregnant." I couldn't believe I had a message with this information 1st of all, let alone there was no other info. to go with it!!! I called back & was told I didn't need to do anything else for a few weeks. Over the weekend I had spotting that didn't stop & by Monday it was worse, I called them as soon as they opened & was told I needed to come in because my #'s on the bloodwork weren't very good, which really upset me b/c I should have been told that on Friday!!! When I got there, he took 1 look & told me he could tell by the amount of blood, I was going to miscarry if I hadn't already and that was it!!!! I know there wasn't anything he could do about what happened, but I was just shocked at how it was all handled & the fact that I left there knowing I was going to miscarry at some point but no other info about it. I did end up having a miscarriage a few days later, called the office to tell them & was told to call back to schedule an appt when I wanted to try again!!!! Needless to say, I have a new OB/GYN, who I LOVE & also found out that I have a problem w/progesterone levels, which she discovered just by looking at my old charts from his office. I got pregnant again, was put on progesterone supplements & carried the baby to term! Anyways, I just wasn't happy with the treatment I received from Dr. Buten & can tell a difference with the new dr that I have. On the other hand, I do know others (who recommended him) that love going to see him...

I order take-out from here while at work quite a bit & every time, the food is fresh and tastes great! You get alot of food with your meal & they all come with soup & egg roll. We usually have 5-10 seperate orders for delivery & they never have a problem seperating the totals for us and the food is delivered earlier than the delivery time given!

Great place for modern style furniture! The prices aren't bad depending on what you're looking for...some artwork & smaller pieces were a little overpriced, but the bigger pieces were cheaper here than other places. Great selection of furniture, friendly staff & we were able to pick up items w/o getting charged for delivery and the staff helped load our truck for us. We went in not knowing what exactly we were looking for, but the salesman was very patient with us & helped us decide what would work/look best for our house without pushing the more expensive items on us! Would definitely go back & recommend to others...

The food is good, a good variety of things to choose from but is also a little pricey for what it is. There's usually a crowd & it's always loud because of how loud all of the tv's are turned up. The service can be good, but we've also encountered very slow waiters & had one experience where we were never checked on by our waiter or offered a refill on our drinks! They don't have turtle cheesecake on their menu at this location either, but I love their fried pickles!

I love going here, especially since it's conveniently located near my house! I love the layout of the store & there's always tons of items to choose from. I can get in & out of there quickly without any problems finding what I'm looking for or having to wait in line forever! I've never had a problem with service from any of the employees, I always get directed to a shorter line than the 1 I'm in & everyone seems very friendly! I've used the pharmacy & love it, especially the drive-thru. The electronics section is huge & the photo lab is great! I complete my photo order online & pick it up in less than an hour w/great quality prints & enlargements! (Bigger than 8X10 takes a few days) The only bad thing w/this location is it gets pretty crowded & I get frustrated w/people in your way in the aisles or not paying attention to what they're doing, but that's nothing the store can help!

I am so thankful my son no longer has to see this dr!!!! Our appt was made 1 week ahead of time, only for me to get a msg the day before the appt saying "the dr isn't available for your 2pm appt, you'll need to come at 8am tomorrow morning." I went round & round w/the appt people, but finally got an appt made. Once we were there, we waited for close to an hour, then were rushed through our visit w/the dr only to be sent to the lab to wait another 30 mins for bloodwork!! The nurse who weighed & measured my son did it wrong & kept telling me I was wrong when I pointed it out to her. He meaused 29" the week before at his dr's office and at the hospital & she measured him at 27". Besides the fact she didn't have him lay down completely to measure him, I knew he didn't shrink 2 inches in the last week!...She finally did it again & got 29" Once we did get to see her, she hardly looked my son over & quickly told us to have the bloodwork done & we'd go from there. I got a call 2 days later saying the bloodwork didn't look good & needed to be redone b/c it could mean cancer!!!! (Keep in mind, these were msgs left by the dr since we were playing phone tag) I finally talked to her & she suggested taking him to the ER b/c the #'s were that bad but her office was closing early for the weekend! Of course I was panicked so we went to the ER to have the bloodwork done again & found out it was a simple error due to the dr's office not drawing the right lab!!!! All I got was "I'm sorry, these kinds of things happen" when calling the dr's office to complain! There didn't seem to be anything good about our visits w/this dr & it wasn't a pleasant experience at all!!!!
Covert Ford Lincoln
We've had great dealings with Covert Ford when it comes to sales & service! We were looking for a new car in December 2007 but weren't 100% sure what exactly we wanted besides the fact that I knew I wanted some kind of smaller SUV. We had looked around at several dealerships trying to figure out what exactly we wanted, when we finally decided the Ford Escape was what we were looking for. My husband is the type who refuses to pay sticker price on a new car & was going back & forth with a salesman at another dealership & was getting nowhere, so he called Covert Ford. It was already about 10 mins before their closing time, but Kenny Covert said they had a car in stock that sounded like what we were looking for & waited there for us to come look at it from South Austin. Of course by the time we got there, it was after closing time but we weren't rushed at all by him or by our sales lady Jackie. The car was exactly what we were looking for & the price it was offered to us at was just BELOW what we had in mind to spend & that was without any negotiating! We weren't able to do any paperwork or financing things since the banks were closed but still left w/the car & had everything done the very next day w/o any problems! We've gone back there for every oil change & routine service on the car & have had great experiences with the service dept also. They do offer appts for this, but I never remember to call in advance but have also never waited longer than 30 mins or so while having the service done. Everyone in the offices are friendly & the sales lady even remembered me when she saw me waiting in the lobby. I must say that buying from there was the most pleasant car buying experience we've had & we've never been interested in having oil changes done at the dealership until we started dealing with them!
Hunan Chef Restaurant
My husband & I love to eat chinese food, but are also pretty particular about where we eat it so it's also hard to satisfy us when we do find a place. It's been a few years since our 1st visit to Hunan Chef, but I can also say that we have both liked it ever since our 1st visit! It's a smaller place, but still very nice inside and the food is awesome!!!! We love eating there, but they are great about having your order ready on time (while still being fresh) if you call it in for take-out as well! It's a family owned restaurant, all of the workers are very friendly & they seem to remember the customers who go there often, & they actually play with my son when we're there and remember us going there while I was pregnant with him over a year ago!!! The only bad thing I can say about the place is they are closed on Sundays....but I guess they need time off too!!!

My husband is originally from Arlington Heights & remembers eating here as a kid. My family & I ate here while visiting from Texas on vacation & thought the food was great! My husband even made a comment that the service seemed to be just as good as it was before & going there even brought back childhood memories for him! Everyone was friendly & the service was fast, even with the large order we placed! I loved the pizza there, even though I had just plain pepperoni & actually wanted to eat there each day we were there! I can't wait to go back & visit so I can eat there again!

I was referred to Dr Bledsoe by my OB/GYN for fertility issues relating to PCOS in 2005 and thought she was great! I was never rushed at any of my appts, never waited long after getting checked in & she did a great job at helping me completely understand what was going on with my fertility issues & how exactly she was going to be able to help me. She was always very thorough & never too pushy...she always told me all of the different choices in treatment and didn't push 1 method over another so I always had the say in what I wanted done! She has a great personality too!
