I have eaten routinely at Raptis for 10+ years now. The service is ALWAYS great even during extremely busy times.
The food is just superb and can honestly say that I have never had a bad breakfast/lunch or dinner there. I eat there just about every weekend and have done so since the mid nineties.
The atmosphere of the Restaurant is so down to home and comfortable that you always feel at home. You are 99.99999% guaranteed to get a great meal there!
If there is anything wrong with your meal (unlikely), the staff will make it right immediately.
I give Raptis a 5 star rating because 6 stars was not available.
I have eaten at Chicken Coop on a regular basis for about 5 years now. I have almost always found the staff at Chicken Coop to always be friendly both when eating in and picking the food up for take out.
In 2008 they added onto the restaurant and also started offering breakfast.
I eat more chicken than you can shake a stick at, and have eating the chicken, fish, ribs and plenty of chicken wings at Chicken Coop. ALL of that food was really really good and worth the price at the time before the price increases due to the renovations there.
I went for breakfast there the first weekend they started to offer it and found that they should stick to cooking chicken, ribs and fish. The breakfast food was very greasy and was pricey, the breakfast food did not agree with me later on in the day to all the grease. I eat breakfast out all weekend and routinely go to Perkins, Eat-N Park, Raptis and Cracker Barrel. The breakfasts at these restaurants is much much better than Chicken Coop.
If you want a great tasting chicken dinner, rib dinner or fish dinner I do recommend Chicken Coop. But, bear in mind that they have raised their prices in 2008 - most likely to pay for the recent addition they did. I no longer consider it cost justifiable to eat there compared to the quality of the lunch/dinner food - although good, but for the same money I could get better elsewhere - especially much better breakfasts. That is the reason I give them a satisfactory rating.
I have gone to Sunrise for well over 7 years now, at least 2 to 3 times a month. I honestly do not know what the bad reviews regarding service are all about. I agree with one of the other reviews that it seems that it would be hard to keep track who comes in especially when it is busy, but I have never had an issue with bad service.
The waitresses do seem extremely busy at times and there have been plenty of times I thought that they could use extra help during busier hours such as Friday or Saturday nights.
I have found the waitresses to be extremely friendly and trying their "darndest" for lack of a better word to deliver great service.
The food is fabulous and if you are a hot wing lover such as myself then Sunrise is the place to go. They have a wide range of various flavors of wings and very cheap prices, they are superb as well as their regular chicken as well! Their prime rib on Sunday also is to die for and very good prices!
I love the home town atmosphere of this superb restaurant and plan to continue going on a regular basis for years to come!
Having gone to Sorrentos regularly for well over a year the reason I gave them an unsatisfactory rating is because when you go there to eat the owner mills around from table to table having lengthy conversations with "select" patrons who are looking to have a quiet evening together.
Some customers he blatantly ignores when they come in to eat on a regular basis and some he engages in conversation to no end whenever they come in. If you have any doubts, just visit them sometime and watch. You will know whether you are considered in the Sorrento's "family" when you come in, if the owner likes you he will talk your ear off, if he doesn't you will never hear a peep out of him.
From a food perspective the food is commendable, but if you go there on a regular basis one other thing you will notice is if they appreciate your business you will get the friendlier waitresses on a regularly when you go. But if they do not you will get the sour puss waitresses whenever you come in no matter what or when.
Bear in mind, some of the waitresses are related to the owner so if the owner likes you you are much more likely to have a friendlier waitress, but on the negative side the owner will hover around you while you eat and talk talk talk talk talk talk while you are trying to eat.
Try going there sometime for dinner and watch....You will see that this review is pretty much dead on.
