It really is....avoid all the fees and even make money just for having something in your savings at the end of each quarter. It's really the type of place that gives credit unions their claim to fame :)
There are plenty of ATM's in the area that are free of charge and can be used to make deposits as well. The best part is EVERY location has super friendly tellers who actually seem to enjoy their job and not like they're "stuck" at it for so many hours a day.
Oh, and they have late hours at several of the banks also....even open on Sundays! This particular location is brand new and I always see police patrolling the area, so I feel secure whenever I go there.
When we can't do our own embroidery this is where we turn to! These guys do great work and the turn around time is excellent. I also love that they're able to take orders through phone and e-mail which cuts down on travel time to place orders then go back to pick them up. Perfect cutting on numbers and name strips as well!
The title really says it all. If you want your hair or nails done but don't want to spend a lot of money then be sure to go during student sessions. You usually need to be there pretty early for hair b/c a lot of people show up and the number of stylists are limited. Not only that but since they're still learning it might take a while. All that being said, don't let it discourage you to try them out. I've seen them do some pretty advanced styles, cuts, etc....it's definitely worth the time!
I've always loved Steak'M Take'M! It doesn't matter how many times they've moved, the food is always delicious and fills you up! I've been to Philly and tried out the big dogs up there, and Steak'M Take'M is right in the running with Geno's and Ishkibibbles! Fair warning...this isn't McDonald's where food is just sitting around waiting...you order and then it's cooked! A major plus for fresh, hot food guaranteed to still be great when you get to your destination. Just be prepared to wait when you go or call your order in beforehand. Whatever you choose, choose here over any of the other places that just have cheesesteaks on their menu b/c this one specializes in them and has a great variety and fresh toppings to choose from
Not being able to eat ice cream or yogurt any longer I thought I'd never have anything but rice cream again...until I found Sheridan's! Oh my goodness the frozen custard is sooo good and you'll have a hard time believing it's NOT ice cream...and very little dairy so it's good for us lactose intolerant folks! This is the location inside of Crown Center and even though the line can get long it still moves pretty fast, but they don't rush you either which is really good because there's a HUGE list of toppings to choose from. The frozen concretes are AWESOME and blow blizzards out of the water. Be sure to check them out next time you're in Crown Center...they validate parking too.
Oh yeah, I've also noticed that each location has at least one thing on the menu that the others don't.
I know of soooo many children who've been able to attend Spectrum Station and even though the prices are high (about $250 for 1 y/o & nearly $200 for 2 y/o) they never focus on that, only on the good. That says a lot for parents who aren't by any means wealthy but don't mind paying 2-3x what they could probably find elsewhere or with a home based daycare.
What really impressed me is the amount of teachers that send their children there based on the educational curriculum that starts in the 1 year old room!
They also have summer care programs for siblings of kids that go there, late night care once a month for $15 and they do family buffets once a month, where they provide dinner for your family!
It's good...well great. But I would only eat at this one if I already happened to be there. This one is much more commercialized so everything is neater and portions are very strictly served, lol. Don't get me wrong, you'll be full! But it's not the giant slapped together "sandwich" like you'd get at the Brooklyn location. Either way....I LOVE the sauce, and the fries are homemade but not hard/crunchy! Very good eating! :)
I've only been here once, but since it's owned by the same person that owns Q Nails (just down the street) I am familiar with several of the employees. They are all very attentive and do a great job! They not only do nails, but also massages at very competitive prices, and also waxing (eyebrows, legs, bikini, etc)...again, at very competitive prices...especially for the area. I'm definitely going back!
All of the employees here will make you feel welcomed and are very accommodating. You can usually get in and out in under an hour, even if you didn't make an appointment. If you're just going for waxing services the wait is even shorter and they do an excellent job. The only downside is every few months some of the workers are replaced and I get used to a certain one :(
Like I said in another review....you CAN NOT go wrong with ordering from anywhere on this little strip. All of these places have REAL Mexican food....which is probably why you'll see so many of the neighborhood people frequenting them (Mexican neighborhood). I LOVE this place's nachos. They are homemade...but true Mexican homemade...not our americanized taco bell type nachos. You will really feel like you are in a small restaurant or store front in Mexico when you enter the place. Everything on the menu is so reasonably priced too...really makes you want to try so many things.
If you even slightly like Mexican food, this place is a must for take out! :) Yum-my!
