I've had a few experiences with Evergreen Equine. He gelded my quarter horse, which went fine. He also looked at my mare's eye injury. My only complaint is that once when he came out to see my gelding with a sprained hock, he was dressed in nice clothes, then complained about the mud around the gate (in the winter - this is the Northwest!) and asked me to walk my gelding (who was limping) to his truck at the street rather than looking at him in the pasture or barn.
I've only been in here a couple times. The lady that helped me was nice, but I did feel a little pressured to buy something. I was just driving by and thought I'd stop to see what they had. It's a small place so if you're the only one there, it's a little uncomfortable being followed around...
I've purchased all my horse blankets here. Once I bought one that was the wrong size and they took it back with no problems. They also take some saddles on consignment, so if you're looking for a safe, used saddle, you may find it here.
The Royal Bean has good coffee. It's a drive through. They often have "specials" on certain drinks. They also have punch cards if you like to keep those.
The coffee here is really good. It's also a nice place to meet people. The atmosphere is better than say, your usual Starbucks coffee shop. I would definitely recommend!
I stop by here occasionally. They have good coffee. They also sell raw beans if you're info roasting your own coffee. They also have a drive up window, which is nice on those rainy days.
I really like their coffee. The Dancing Goats blend is my favorite. We have them deliver our coffee at my office (we use the French Roast at work). I would definitely recommend them.
I am not a farrier, but I trim my own horses. I don't need to buy supplies (rasps, hoof knives, or nippers) very often so I am not a regular customer. Every time I've been in there though, they are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend.
I saw Dr. Blackner for a couple years. He was just OK, not the best. His associate that fills in for him is horrible! The last time I was there (about 22 months ago) I had already switched to another doctor, but he was out of town so I went back to Blackner's office. I was very sick with chills and a fever and an extremely sore throat and HUGE tonsils. The doctor at Blackner's office diagnosed me with a sinus infection and gave me nasal spray. I knew that I definitely did not have a sinus infection so I didn't bother with the spray and waited a couple more days until my regular Dr. returned. He took one look at my throat and knew I had a raging infection in my tonsils. I ended up having to have them removed. This is just one of many negative experiences I had at Dr. Blackner's office.
I've been to Hartley mostly for cleanings and to check to make sure the stone in my ring remains secure. I also had them appraise my ring. I've been very happy with their service. Regarding platinum, I too, have a platinum ring (made by another jeweler) and I know Hartley does not recommend using platinum because it is so soft. I think if I were ever to need work done on my platinum, I would go elsewhere because I got the impression that Hartley doesn't work in platinum very often.
