I purchased an I-Wireless prepaid phone from our local (Kroger) grocery store, for my teenaged daughter. They had several models to choose from and included 500 free minutes. The quality of the service is great. The phones are reliable and very reasonably priced. Minutes can be added either online, using the phone or by purchasing a gift card from the store. We love this service and highly recommend I-Wireless.
Today, a colleague and I had lunch here. It was a first visit for me. Lynne's is located in a small strip mall and the outside does little to inspire you to go inside. WOW! I'm so glad I did. Lynne's is a small place, with mostly tables for two (larger groups are accommodated by pushing tables together). It's decor is old world and is very quaint. Okay...now for the food. Fantastic!!! They have a nice assortment of fresh and healthy entrees. I had a fish dish with mushrooms and bok choy. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch! All entrees came with a choice of steamed, fried or brown rice. Prices were also very reasonable. I can't wait to return.
This Cuban restaurant is easy to find, unless you look for it's name on the sign. The sign outside says "Cuban Bakery." They have both a restaurant and bakery located on the premises. The bakery offers many delicious treats from sweets, to sandwiches and drinks. The restaurant is full service and offers many standard cuban dishes. The food is so good, we keep going back. They have a buffet at lunchtime and on Sundays. I was so happy when this restaurant opened in the Southbay! We love it.
I usually appreciate Best Western for their low price and good value. This wasn't the case with the Miramar Hotel in San Diego. We had trouble with loud neighbors and very thin walls (we virtually listened to someone's business call, next door, that started about 6:30 a.m.). Each room contains a safe and you are charged a "safe charge" whether or not you actually use the safe. When I complained about it I was told "it's standard" at which point I canceled my Rewards membership. I later received an email from the General Manager apologizing for "not exceeding my expectations." I will NEVER return here.
We discovered this restaurant while heading to another eatery, but decided to give it a try. I was so glad we did. I ordered a gyro plate that included a greek salad. The portions were large and it was the best greek salad I've had since I visited Greece. The proprietor was very attentive and encouraged us to try their dessert offerings. We shared a baklava and another dessert that was basically baklava made with shredded phylo dough and dipped in chocolate. Both were great but I can't imagine going to this place and not having the regular baklava. It was soooo good! The restaurant is located in the Lakewood mall and is located just off of Candlewood. I definitely recommend this place. It has wonderful ambiance. Opa!!!
My daughter and I discovered this treasure while on a visit to ASU. They had a sign on the street and the food looked fresh and appetizing. We decided to try it for lunch. They had a wide selection of mediterranean foods, many included different types of meet (beef, ground beef, lamb and chicken). They also had a nice selection of vegetarian dishes that were pleasing to me. I ordered the vegetarian plate that came with hummus, baba ghanoush (a new dish for me), falafel and domas. My daughter had a gyro and greek salad, which she also enjoyed.
My daughter and I had lunch here, when visiting ASU. The food was fresh and there was a nice selection. I was struck by their selection of seafood offerings, in addition to the meats. They also had an extensive selection of sauces for your mongolian barbeque. I wish this restaurant was in Southern California so I could go all of the time. I would definitely return.
My teenaged daughter and I stayed here, while visiting ASU. We both enjoyed our stay. The Three Palms appears to be a motel that has been renovated. So the rooms (at least the one we were in) are small. However, everything is tastefully appointed from the granite counter, travertine floor, large flat screen television, etc. This was one of the nicest rooms we've been in without spending $$$. I will definitely return to this hotel.
This restaurant began in 2009, on the site of a different restaurant. It is across the street from Arco (on Pennsylvania) on Lomita Blvd. They offer Hawaiian fare. They served delicious pot stickers that looked and tasted appetizing and delicious. Their macaroni salad (a hawaiian staple) was just so so. It seemed somewhat Americanized. This place is okay but there are other, more authentic places in the area.
Dr. Nadella has been practicing in Torrance for many years. She has a large gynecology practice. She works with couples experiencing fertility issues, as well as with other women's issues. Count on her to provide great information about what's going on with you. She is friendly, personable and takes time explaining things to you. I highly recommend her!
