"The staff does this crazy thing with clothespins. They come in the room periodically don't say a word and "pin" the Drs. Pin your it???"
The clothespins are for the hygienists to let the doctor's know that they have a patient waiting for an exam following their cleaning. It is a way to not interrupt the doctor while with another patient, or distract him during a procedure. Each hygienist has her name on the clothespins and the doctor can tell who needs to be checked without having to stop for the procedure.
So Geez, calm down people. Next time, just ask the doctor why he has clothespins attached to his scrubs.
