Lomita Mail Car
This is a small little mail stop but I frequent it whenever I have a large package to mail. There weren't any long lines that you have to wait in. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. A quick easy in, easy out. Parking could be an issue.
Pch Tile & Stone
I stopped by here looking to match an existing tile pattern in our home. Although we couldn't match it here, the staff was very friendly in helping me look through some of their stock examples. If I happen to need tile again, I would definitely return here to check out the merchandise.
Cheap Vintage
Not a big peruser of antique stores, however, I was able to get a couple of good pieces of furniture from here. There were a couple of other pieces I wanted but they wanted too much for them... although they might have been worth it. Also, they have a mix of collectibles that are either valuable or would make a killer retro design, you will find the visit well worth the experience.
Liberty Home Appliance Inc
After going to the big name stores to buy our major appliances, it seems we always wound up purchasing them from Liberty. They do have a small showroom but we were able to find the brand, style, and most importantly, the price that we want. The staff has been great. The installers have been great. Highly recommended.
Bodymechanix
This company specializes in providing sports performance services, kids programs, personal training, etc. The main features are it's three phased program: sports performance, athletic training, and rehabilitation. Our kid's soccer team signed up for the performance training to augment their regular practices. Taking a poll among the parents, we had mixed results. Some were very pleased with the program, others were disappointed. We were in the latter. We felt that it should have been more in tune with the practice sessions as well as other activities that the kids were involved in - maybe that warranted more money to do that. Since this program was administered toward the group as a whole, individuals were forced to perform with the same intensity as the others regardless of their condition (some had already been involved with a 2 hour high school practice earlier in the day) - which resulted in a couple of unnecessary injuries.
Family Vision Care Center: Stephen Chase, Od, Fcovd
Recommended to us by a friend, finding Dr. Chase was a great find! We've gone to him now for all our family's vision needs - eyeglasses for me, vision therapy for the kids. The vision therapy was impressive - being able to track how & where their eyes focus when they read and then developing a program to help them improve their tracking skills was great. It has helped them improve by easing the stress of working with their school assignments.
New York Deli 2
Although it's been over a year since I've been here (because I usually went at lunch time), what I remember is that the sandwiches I got from here were huge. Typical deli fare. I particularly liked the pastrami and a side order of macaroni salad. Service was excellent.
Lox Of Bagels
I usually go here when I need to fill the family's order for a wide variety of bagels. The bagels are pretty good tasting - although there are other shops that I've been to where the bagels are a bit larger than here - I'd still come here again.
Goody's Pizza & Chicken
Best pizza around... according to my kids. I think it's pretty good - prices are very reasonable. The staff has been friendly and courteous. We usually get the pizza but have yet to try the chicken - that'll be next on our next visit.
Lightfoot's Garage
Lightfoot's has been around for a long time now. It was recommended to us by a friend and we found them to perform excellent work. Whatever the problem, they were able to repair it and it was truly fixed - no take backs. The only con: a little slow.
