They sell very authentic Japanese-style sweets. Mikawaya is a chain store based in Japan. If you are looking for the real thing, this is the place to go.
This cozy hair salon is run by Japanese hair stylists. I've been going there for about two years. There are three stylists and they all seem well-experienced.
This is a So. Cal-based Japanese bakery chain, usually located inside of a Japanese market. This particular store is inside of Marukai Pacific store in Gardena. They offer a variety of items that are usually found in a real Japanese bakeries. We have not had a bad item here yet. My kids are real fans of this bakery.
The store is located inside a Japanese Market, Mitsuwa, in Torrance. It is a sister store to the original store in Tokyo. They use fresh ingredients and they have a variety of items. It is like being a real bakery in Japan. Everything they bake are excellent and we especially love their baguette.
The cafe serves light meals and sweets. Their boba drinks, cakes, and frozen yogurt are excellent. We often stop by this place after a meal at its next door, Ebisu Ramen. It is cozy and the service is very good.
The restaurant is located inside a Japanese hotel in Torrance. They serve Japanese lunches and dinners. The price is reasonable and the food is very good. Our favorite is the hamburg steak lunch set.
Not sure why the business is under a different name. It is a Shisen-style (spicy) ramen place in Torrance. Their ramen was satisfactory, nothing special. Other dishes like fried rice and dumplings were also average. The restaurant is clean and the service was okay.
Just like its name says, the pasta dishes we order are always al dente and taste wonderful. The restaurant is lively yet cozy. The service is great and the price is very reasonable.
This restaurant is located in the food court of a Japanese Market, Mitsuwa, in Torrance. They serve good Japanese food (udon and soba noodles, teishoku or a set menu, etc.) and is always busy during the lunchtime.
They serve good Hakata style ramen for lunch and dinner. You can choose the softness of the noodles and the thickness of the broth. Their fried rice and gyoza (dumplings) are also very good. The reason for 4-star and not 5-star is that their service can be spotty sometimes.
