I'm writing this review because my wife has a problem with her shoulder and it's causing her very real pain and much discomfort even when attempting to sleep. She was referred to Ga. Bone/Joint to see Dr.(using the term loosely)Yarbrough. She had already had an MRI and was to get it evaluated by RY. On the day of the appointment., she forgot her copy of the MRI at home but mentioned that she had the copy at home.Instead of trying to get a copy of the MRI,RY had my wife take an 'x-ray' and after waiting for a couple of hours-no exaggeration- told her to go to therapy and come back in I believe it was 30 days. My wife asked him about looking at her MRI disc and he said hurriedly "yeah, sure, we can look at it next time". My wife dropped off her copy of the MRI the next morning at 8am, and that was two days ago. She was told that he hadn't read it yet, and she asked for it back. After some running around in the back to FIND her disc, they told her he was reading it now. Mind you,she had already informed them that according to the place that performed the MRI,she had a tear in her Labrum and some spurs that were increasing the tears when she used her shoulder too much. To my wife's surprise, RY sent a nurse out to tell her she does have some tearing of the labrum but to continue with the Phys. Therapy anyway. Her shoulder is causing her so much pain that we have to take special measures at home to keep her from hurting it any further,so her response to RY's comment was "please give me my disc and tell RY he's an A--HOLE!" Only when RY was informed that my wife was seeking a second opinion did he even try to look at the MRI, until then, he was content to base his findings and suggestions for her treatment on the much more reliable "x-ray" results she'll be billed for. I'm not sure as to why the treatment my wife received was so sub-par and lacking but this is the second bad experience we've had in dealing with Ga Bone and Joint in Cartersville,Ga. and it will DEFINITELY be our last. I previously had my knee scoped by a "doctor" in that same group and had terrible results. I hope this review helps serve as a warning to others before they put their health in the hands of dr. yarbrough, dr. riddle, etc. It's probably more beneficial to drive further and see someone in Rome,Ga. or even Atlanta, we've been told that's the best recourse for us at this point.
