I love Dr. Eslao and her staff. Her office has such a friendly, relaxing atmosphere. She is caring, cheerful, gentle. I have always been terrified of going to the dentist but Dr. Eslao has changed that. Her exams are thorough. She also does cosmetic dentistry and teeth whitening. The dental hygienist is excellent. She spends a lot of time explaining and teaching about the right way to clean your teeth. Overall, excellent service bar none. She offers evening appointments. Parking can be difficult (it is in San Francisco, after-all).
The food in this place is excellent; but the location and the atmosphere is not too hot....it maybe downright seedy.
The pupusas are the best in the area! No one, I repeat, no one has been able to make rice flour pupusas the way they do. They have all of the varieties: pork, cheese, bean and chicken. I can't wait until they offer the zucchinni ones.
For New Year's I bouth some chicken tamales, Salvadorean style. They were great! Just like grandma used to make. They also make large quantities for parties if you order ahead.
Parking - on the side, but limited and dimly lit.
Atmosphere - no frills, uncomfortable chairs, only one wait person. My advice: Call ahead and pick up your order.
You Bet! These are excellent pupusas, they have other creative versions besides the basic pork, beans and cheese varieties. Here you can try the chicken pupusas and also zucchini and cheese (my favorite). The pupusas are not greasy, served hot with plenty of pickled cabbage and salsa. I accompany my pupusas with a nice glass of ice cold "horchata" which tastes just like it tastes in El Salvador. Amelias' can be a bit too sweet for some, but if you ask for extra ice that should take care of the extra sweetness. Be sure to try the bread pudding. Parking - on the street. Noise - a bit loud.Family atmosphere.
I just love this place. I have lived in Millbrae for over 4 years and for some reason had never tried it. I went there with some friends a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it!Nice homey atmosphere, pizza is always hot, always crisp, the pizza sauce is excellent, it tastes fresh (probably because IT IS!). If you like your pizza with anchovies, this is the place to have it. Nice place to come with the family and friends. There is plenty of parking in the back.
This is my favorite Mexican seafood restaurant. The shrimp tacos are filled with marinated shrimp which basically get "steamed" into a crispy tortilla, served with avocado slices, and fresh salsa. The shrimp "aguachil" is not for those who do not like hot and spicy foods. You can ask for it to be mild, but it is best in its original version. Basically, it is a shrimp cocktail, in which the shrimp are basically "cooked" in lime juice and green chili. This is all spiced up with pepper, jalapeno, and salt. Forget tortilla chips in this place; each table gets a basketfull of tostadas with plenty of sliced limes. Each table has at least 6 kinds of hot sauces for you to choose: all Mexican sauces. If you like Micheladas...this place has the best in the Bay. Price: Cheap!Parking: can be difficult, but not impossible. Their parking lot has always been full.
