My Napa valley chicken salad was good, but my chicken salad sandwich on a croissant was pretty bland. Service was good and the outdoor patio is a nice place to dine in downtown Danville. Next time, I'll try breakfast...not lunch!
Sharis took over the previous Bakers Square location on E. Stanley Blvd. next to Burger King in front of Trader Joe's. They're open 24 hours, have free wi-fi and have pretty good eggs benedict!
P.S. I don't recommend their Lemon & Dill Salmon dinner...the salmon was way overcooked and so were the veggies...and the mashed potatoes were cold.
P.P.S. I don't recommend any of their burgers, either...I ordered mine "medium" and when it came back very well overdone, the server told me that's the way they cook all the burgers. If he told me that when I ordered, I would have ordered something else.
Cruz Car Wash was having a special today - exterior express car washes for $7.00! They're located across the street from the Home Depot and Safeway shopping center.
Anyone visiting Santa Cruz or the surrounding areas has probably visited the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk...and if not, I recommend going there at least once! It's fun for all ages and the nice thing is that you don't pay "admission" but you just pay for the rides you want to go on. It's so nice that it's right on the beach, which makes up for it being smaller in size than most Boardwalks.
Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf is a fun place to go on a day trip if you live in the Bay Area. You can walk the entire length of the pier, past gift shops and restaurants galore. You also have a nice view of the bay as well as the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the beach with all the volleyball nets. Parking is very reasonable, we paid $2.00 and were there for a couple of hours.
This Starbucks Coffee is located in the new Safeway and Home Depot shopping center on 41st Avenue north of Highway 1. It's located near Taco Bell and next to Subway. Pretty good service and the coffee is consistent with the Starbucks chain.
Andy's is located at the end of the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf...next to the observation areas for the sea lions! (Note: there are signs everywhere saying "Do Not Feed The Sea Lions.")
This Home Depot is in the fairly new shopping center on 41st Avenue north of Highway 1. There is also a Safeway, Taco Bell and Starbucks in the same center. This one is nicer than your average Home Depot!
Dolphin Restaurant is located at the end of the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf. There are many restaurants back-to-back in this location, but what differentiates Dolphin from the rest is the fact that they serve breakfast in addition to lunch and dinner. They also have a kids menu.
Marini's Munchies is located in the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf. It is seriously the place to go for anyone with a sweet tooth! They also have paninis, but their specialty is caramel apples, taffy, candies and ice cream.
