The owner is a hard working guy and very friendly. He painted my son's room beautifully and quickly, using the colors I selected and the exact design I requested. He helped me finish painting another room, and an entire loft/hall combination with only on additional visit for touchups.
While they were able to follow my design very well, and finished before the rainy season started, I had three problems:
1.) The estimate was off and I ended up having to pay $600 (20%) more than expected to get exactly what I needed.
2.) They dumped their leftover bricks and extra dirt over the side of my retaining wall and into the green belt behind our house. Found this later the next spring.
3.) While I expected the pathway to have a slight angle for runoff, the angle is much more than seems necessary.
I felt like the sent the kids out to tackle a lot of the work, and the owner was out occasionally to check up. I'll know next time to make sure the mess they make is the mess they take.
Himitsu is a small strip mall teriyaki place, but it doesn't feel like it's stuck in a strip mall. The interior is well decorated and feels intimate. The food was good and you can sit at the bar to watch as they prepare sushi dishes.
I have tried several entrees and like them all, especially the katsu. It wasn't overcooked and not greasy. The staff is also very friendly and quick. Plus I love being able to call in an order an pick it up with no errors.
While I really like Burgermaster, I have a hard time spending the same for a burger meal to eat in my car as for a burger meal to eat at Red Robin. My favorite is the chicken and chips, and I wish I could find those chicken tenders in the grocery so I could make them at home. That's a meal that's only under $10 if you opt for the water instead of a soda.
Dark and uncomfortable decor. Unfriendly staff. Average food. Also, they don't accept debit or credit, so we had to pay a fee to get money out of their atm machine. It's a trick.
I really loved Uncle Peteza's when I first discovered it, but I felt the quality started to decline. The dough started to seem heavy. However, the service was always good, and when they were late once they gave us the pizza for free. Service is good, I'll have to get another pizza to see if maybe I just had a few bad ones.
I love having a place nearby that will deliver something other than pizza...even though they have pizza also. I often order the Greek Calzone and a salad and have lunch for the next day. The calzones arrive hot and are flavorful and cheesy.
I have always loved the service at this location, and the coffee drinks are good. I didn't care for the decaf when they switched from using Torrefazzione coffee, though. Sometimes it's difficult to pull back into traffic from this stop, but it was still very convenient to my commute.
I generally use the drive through, and even when I'm the only car and it's evening with few customers inside, I find the service slow. I keep returning because I like the coffee...and I like the convenience of a drive through with a toddler in the car.
