The table menus with the pigeon sayings on them are my favorite memory of this restaurant. We'd come to Kealani's, buy a few plate lunches (chicken katsu and bbq teritaki are our favorites) and head to the beach for the day. The scene in the restaurant is relaxed and has that genuine island beach feel, especially in the town of Encinitas. I wouldn't come here to purchase merchandise though as the stuff is a little pricey.
This little shop in the corner of a forgotten plaza carries the cutest clothes for ladies. You can find an assortment of denim in a variety of washes and cuts for as cheap as $20. You get what you pay for though. You can find cute casual dresses and basics like tees and tanks at bargain prices. Great place to shop when trying a new outfit while shopping on a budget.
My friends and I love this place. Whenever we have a party, this is where we get the keg. Great selection of import beer at a reasonable cost. And if we are having a desire to test something different or have a specialty beer, this place has the biggest selection of import beer, liquor, wine and all the likings to accompany a good night of drinking.
This place has a great selection of tropical flower arrangements and leis for graduation. They are beautiful. The prices are a bit high but every arrangement is of great quality. They offer a good selection of clothes and other Hawaiian novelties. The staff is friendly. Orders should be placed in advance for specialty leis and at peak times like graduation season.
Plain colored tees for great price. Lots of different colored tanks and camisoles for girls. Packaged socks and boys boxers at a good price too. Sometimes you can find a cute blouse or dress. Great to place to stock up on the basics.
Henry's has great deals on fresh produce and a great deli department. Fresh sushi is available if you come at the right time of day. Great prices on organic and nutritious products.
My cousin, Andrea worked at this establishment when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. When she lost her battle with cancer, Henry's, catered the memorial for about 200 people free of charge. It was much appreciated. They are a wonderful staff of employees.
The ladies at this shop are quick and efficient and very friendly. The salon is small but never overcrowded. The prices are good. The wait is never longer then 30 minutes. Id bring your own color polish because there selection is minimal. But they can do fantastic nail art work for an inexpensive extra charge. Id recommend it to anyone.
Yard Records carries a huge selection of reggae music, all priced fairly. It is a relaxed environment with friendly staff who will always talk reggae music with you. The store was kind enough to host a live concert for some friends of mine who perform in local hip hop and reggae groups. This is a great place to listen to reggae music!
I come to this place especially for the Manapua. It comes in 2 flavors, chicken and pork, and they are delicious. More meat, then bread. Priced at $4.50 for 3. Large variety of Asian and islander food products. Also carries a variety of fresh fish. Small shop with excellent customer service. Store has been in business for years.
I've been a patron of this establishment for many years because the owner is a wonderful women who cares about what I want and how I look. She works hard to please and I'm always satisfied. I feel her prices are fair and you don't need to make an appt. I suggest Saturdays late afternoons.
