Sally's is a great place to meet with friends or family. Anything you pick is delicious. Their breakfasts are very good, specially their enormous apple and German pancake. Their oatmeal is great. Their lunches are superb and dinner is also very good. They have a large selection of meals that are very palatable and reasonable in price. I recommend this restaurant.
La Bruquena is an establishment with a lot of character. The food is very good, their roast pork is delicious, their rice and beans is very good, their soups are very good and their salads are very good. The food is typical Puerto Rican (rice and beans, arroz con gandules, pasteles, lechon asado) -- all will make your mouth water. Service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. You will be well fed when you go to La Bruquena. I recommend this restaurant.
My sister and I went to Coco to celebrate my birthday. The menu is very eclectic and the food is very tasty and well prepared and the service was friendly. We enjoyed our meal and were completely full when we left the restaurant. If you are seeking for Puerto Rican food, this is a very good place to start. I recommend this restaurant.
Evelia and Tina are the owners of this full service beauty salon. Evelia has been doing my hair for about ten years. She does great hair cuts, beautiful hair coloring. She is attentive to your needs and your wants. She will even write down on a notebook the colors she mixes to get to your precise hair coloring. She does beautiful foil highlights that look fresh and healthy. Tina also does beautiful haircuts and creations. This is a small neighborhood beauty salon that does not envy anything from bigger salons. They do facial waxing and eyebrow shaping. They even have an Italian barber for the weekends who specializes in beautiful haircuts for males. Evelia always offers you coffee when you walk in. They also have a large selection of hair products for sale. I truly recommend this beauty salon as one of the greatest in our neighborhood. Prices are reasonable and they take credit cards.
I recommend Dr. Nasr for his knowledgeable approach to serious conditions. He treats people with cancer and heart conditions and will treat you and make you feel better if not well. He alternates supplements, with medicine, with intravenous solutions that will make you well. When I visited him he was able to determine why my body was totally covered with a rash-like skin condition that was totally healed after being treated for a very ill immune system. He is the best! And all this, considering the fact that I did not have medical insurance.
Joseph's Finest Meats is a family owned meat market. They have a large selection of great cuts of meat, chicken, pork, veal and sausages. They have prepared foods like salads and cooked pieces of meat. Everything is fresh and delicious. On St. Patrick's I bought a piece of corned beef, bought the potatoes and the cabbage from them. They even gave me instructions on how to cook it properly. I did everything as they told me and we had the BEST corned beef and cabbage meal that I ever ate before (I'm not even Irish). Joseph's is a great meat market with a fresh, varied and affordable meats. I love it!
Paulina Meat Market is the place to get prime meats and cuts. They have a great selection of sausages, all kinds of cuts of meats and international goodies. Whenever I am in the neighborhood, I try to make a trip to the meat market. It is a great place to get your special occasion cuts, hams, turkeys, etc. It is worth a special trip for a special occasion. I recommend it for its freshness, quality and selection.
