I have a severe skin rash. I have been seen @ an urgent care facility that referred me to this group - 1st on the list. the very rude receptionist - not helpful at all informs me that the 1st available appt. is Feb 2010! has no suggestions for me - does not take a "wait list". no empathy whatsoever. I suppose that I will have to go the the emergency room to get a referral - waste of insurance money for sure! what other choice do I have? I have called other dermat. groups - all others booked too but at least they were friendly! I will let my Urgent care know about my experience and have them take this group off of the top! I am reading the other reviews..I suppose the doctors need to be grateful that they have so much business that they can act in this way. perhaps their attitude would change if suddenly they found themselves without "customers".
I loved the practice - I loved the hygienist and the quality of care that I received. of course, nothing GOOD comes without a price. I guess I would say this is the "Cadillac" of dentists in the area. I cannot afford a Cadillac at this time. and the prices are so outrageous and out of line that even if I could afford the Cadillac, I think that I would give it careful consideration. I do not like to throw my money away. I called my provider, Metlife and they even agreed that the charges are "quite excessive". Like I said: the "technical" part went very well - above average. I felt like I received a bullet between the eyes when I went to check out and was hooked up with Beth, their finance consultant. BEWARE that she will try and reel you in like a used car salesman. she wants you to make the appt. right then and there - even after I told her that I would need to check my schedule (my checkbook really to see if I could afford the exorbitant costs) In these times, we ALL have to be careful and watch where our money goes. I will not sacrifice my left arm for dental work, no matter how good it is.
