I grew up eating at Sanitini's. We used to stop on our walk home from Highland. Now that I no longer live in the area, I stop by every now & again because its just that good!
Mario's has the best pizza in the area. Thin crust NY style. Even better, they deliver. The only down side is the guy who answers the phone has some difficulty understanding English so you may have to repeat yourself a few times.
I am so happy that we found this bakery! Everything they make is delicious. The pound cake with butter cream frosting is delicious. But then again so is everything...the rolls, donuts, cinnamon buns, cookies...You name it!
The Nursing Support Group @ RWJ has been a lifesaver for so many of us. The group meets every Tuesday from 1:30-2:30. This group is led by lactation counselors who can address any medical concerns. The other moms who attend the group are a wealth of knowledge & know how. Whether you are having breastfeeding issues or not, it is great to know that there are other women out there going through what you're going through.
I began attending this group when my son was 8 weeks old & was ready to give up. With the support of the women there, I continued to breastfeed until my son was 1 year old. Now I am preparing to go back after the birth of my daughter.
Pat puts you right at ease the minute you meet her. She is very knowledgeable and addresses all concerns with empathy. She was also willing to discuss things with my husband, and didn't ignore him when he joined me for prenatal visits.
This is the only place I have shopped for wine in the last 10 years. I like that I can go in, tell someone what I want to serve the wine with, and a price point, and they can give me numerous options that are all complimentary to the food. They also have a wonderful selection of wines from Alsace which are absolutely wonderful.
When you first walk in the door, you are greeted by the aromas of chocolate & sugar. My husband turned me on to Bayard's after going there all the time as a child. Now this is the only place we go for our Christmas & Easter candy, as well as for some of the best treats. Dark chocolate pretzels & chocolate caramels are the two household favorites. Prices are reasonable. and they take credit cards!
My grandmother used to buy clothes for my brother & I here. Now that I have my own children, this is a great place to go for specialty items. We got my sons christening outfit here, and I plan to go back to purchase my daughter's christening gown in a few weeks. They even have a little changing area for babies to try the clothes on!
I love that I can place my order and within 20 minutes the driver is here delivering our food. My favorites are the chicken parm sandwich or the chicken fingers. Both are really good.
When I was a student at Rider in the mid-90s we would order from here once a week. Now that I live in the area again, this is the only place I'll go for Chinese take-out. The food is always good, the portions are huge, and the price is perfect!
