This organization is small but mighty. They are involved in so many good works including advocacy (children, health care reform, etc.), disaster work, ecology/environmental concerns along with putting on great conferences in a variety of Christianity and Interfaith areas. They partner with many organizations to bring information to the public, even those not affiliated with a faith group. They have a very nice website that has tons of good resources, calendars and events.
I like fun. I like funky. I like to be treated well. E's Urban Hair is all that and more! The decor is eye-popping, unique and interesting. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I go to Sarah Whitesell and she is simply amazing. Young and chic, she's a true friend...remembering your last visit, asking about you and your life, making it a really special experience where you relax and know someone sincerely cares about you. Add to that the remarkable, fun, funky cuts and color I've gotten and you've got a place I love to go! Ethan and Bradford are great guys running a great, top notch establishment. They have other great services there, too...manicures, pedicures, skin care, makeup artists. E's Urban Hair is a gift you give yourself!
I LOVE Buffalo Exchange. Since there are VERY few duplicate items, you're not always going to find something. Other days you'll load up on great buys. Shoppers need to remember they are used items but they are clean, trendy, in season, in good shape and carefully selected for the shoppers pleasure. They don't take even nice items that are out of season, out of style or not saleable. It's their business to buy well. The sales staff is remarkable. Fancy stores ought to send their sales staff into this Buffalo to learn how to greet customers, give them positive attention and a great shopping experience. I stop by regularly just to browse and to be treated so well. It's just plain a fun place to go!
Nothing fancy, just good authentic food and lots of it for a good price. 3 adults just ate there for $26 and two brought home food. The price included 3 large drinks. Only complaints: having to pay 50 cents for refills and no chips. But the guacamole is excellent...not spicy and plenty of it! Now to get them to carry green corn tamales!
There have been great family jewelers in Phoenix and this is one of the last of those. Paul Johnson Jewelers was our family jeweler for decades until the owner passed away. Now we use Schmitt Jewelers for everything and send our family, friends and business associates there. Their sales staff is top notch and knowledgeable, their jewelers are brilliant and creative, their appraiser is remarkable and the owners stand behind everything they do. I've never heard a single person that's gone there not rave about them and return repeatedly! Give yourself the gift of going to Schmitt Jewelers.
We'd been searching for a privately owned fish and reptile store that was well-maintained with knowledgeable and friendly owner/operators. We were specifically trying to find out where Paul had gone when he left another place because he is all heart and knowledge. We were thrilled to walk into this new little shop and find he and his cousin are the new owners. Open 7 days a week, willing to order in special pets and a magnet for stray, neglected and abused reptiles, this is now our home away from home.
