This place deals mostly in numismatics and historical valued currency/coins. The stuff is incredible, quite a large collection and a must see for fans of that. If you are looking to buy bullion grade, more recent issue coins it is not going to be what you want. The most recent were 1940s Silver coins...but they also have a lot of foreign coins too! Closed on Monday, I think.
The only place in the US I have been able to find curry bread (Kare-Pan). So delicious, whenever I visit my friends in NYC I go up and see the place. It is in a very nice area and surrounded in other Japanese places. If they don't have the curry breads, you can go next store to the store on the 2nd floor. They have other stuff too, but you must try the curry bread!
This place is right in the middle of the busy Gallery place area in DC. It is all basement, hidden if you don't pay attention, but this place has all sorts of recreation...darts, skeeball! and pool. I really liked it because it wasn't too crowded, but it eventually seemed to fill up. Nice place to talk and good ambiance. Drinks are like all places in DC...expensive.
I typically have to wait for a long time here, but their bagels and spreads are pretty extensive. It is plenty of room to wait and nice amount of tables. I come to meet up with friends and it seems to stay consistent over the years
The inside is kind of messy and the cafeteria atmosphere can be a detractor for some...but me, nah! I loved the food and the people behind the counter were friendly...everything, from the sauce to the moist and yummy chicken would make me go again!
Dr Pantos is always smiles and whenever I had issues with my braces and told him of pain, he was always supportive. The hygienists can be a little loud and annoying sometimes, but in the end they do a good job. Recommend the Doctor for sure
The prices are competitive for a lot of their cigars. One time I went in and a guy asked if I needed help and I ended up getting a really informative 10 minute lesson on the different types and sizes for the cigars in the room. I really enjoyed that and I have been impressed with the friendly staff ever since.
This place also features a little lounge, I never used it, but I would if I had the time.
A few things distinguish this place
1. It's all kosher food
2. It's pretty delicious
3. It's not too cheap in general, but there are some good values.
4. The service at the table is always great, but whenever I pay at the register the woman acts like she hates me and the group I am with. It is time tested. It really sours the greatness of the food and the rest of the experience. So great for a Jewish guy to have a place where he can order everything on the menu
I had lunch here to recover from a hangover. The service was pretty slow for giving us our bill at the end, but all my friends and I really liked what we ordered. I myself got the Shepard's pie, very savory and tasty. It is in the heart of Baltimore and has plenty of parking around the block
If you like the live music and can deal with the dark and packed atmosphere in the late night times, this place is not so bad. I often have to deal with the crowds in order to enjoy some good and quality live performances. They do have a good special, Yuengs and Wings. It is worth a try, and in general the bar is pretty good at filling my order in a timely manner.
