I have been getting my haircut here for about 15 years. I am very particularly about how I get my hair done and George never fails me. When Hair Cuttery treats you like a cow going through the gates at a Meat farm, these are professionals that are very good and very proud of their work. They take the time to develop a relationship with the clients.
The main issue is the cost, a haircut is well above 30 dollars, but that is perfect for people who get a mere 4 or so haircuts a year.
I had to get a root canal re-examined because my dentist lacked the technology to pinpoint my dilemma. These people were so nice, the doctor I had, Richard Gray, was possibly one of the more genteel doctors I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I actually need to go back for a follow up and the office really takes the pain from root canals.
The place is awfully crowded -- but not withstanding the sushi and the service was quite memorable. I would not bring a large group but a good place to stop in for a lunch with a friend, perhaps.
I am not much for drinking a cup of Java, but I like this place. Not too long ago my friend introduced me to this local coffee place that has fairly priced, community grown atmosphere. Free internet, occasional performances, and an open space to chat and eat scones and chug hot liquids prove to make this place what starbucks wishes it could be. I often play board games to pass the time here and there are never issues. This place is fantastic.
This local family run business has been around since I was in high school. I have eaten here a lot of times and their Philly Roll is the best I have ever had. The selection of food is pretty basic, it is a sushi bar more than anything else...so come for sushi. I have bought party platters as well, which never failed to disappoint. The family that run the place are so nice they give me discounts from time to time, especially on larger party orders. Support the local businesses...this place is quite hidden in the back of a shopping center.
I give it a 4/5 because I feel as much as I like it, there are things that could be viewed as bad by others. But rest assured, this place is a hit with me.
The place is close to campus and has a ton of wine, beer, and liquor...It is a bit cramped, but whenever I look confused, the staff asks if I can use some help. The women who is typically at the register can be rather rugged and terse, but there are times when she is very nice. Bottom line is this place is one of three in the immediate vicinity and I always seem to have a better time in this place
The place is great...the service is very friendly, the food is delicious and it is a very well decorated interior with candles and That artwork. I love the food frankly, it is the best Thai I have personally had in the College Park area. It is a little more expensive, especially in light of how much food you actually get. But if you like thai food, this place is good...and it is hard to know it's actually a Thai place from the outside.
I work immediately next to the place and I am a frequent patron. In general the service is good, but sometimes I feel like they could be a little more polite. The food is reasonably priced and they have no issue cutting by the pound if you just want sliced meat like at the store. I stay away from the pre-made food in the case unless it's a salad, but you are in for a good sandwich if you get it from there
Certainly a good place on it's own, the issue I have with Katana is that the selection is a bit odd. The special menu is vast but most of the dishes look the same. The typical rolls are a little less than orthodox, but in the end, some of the rolls are amazing. The service is usually good, with green tea refills pretty often. The waitresses have extremely poor English though in my experience, enough so to cause some confusion. I like to come here because it is never too packed. My one friend did get sick after eating here once, but I have never had any issues. I would say there are better places, but this is a reasonable place...despite some of the prices.
I went here for my anniversary with my girlfriend. If you are willing to spend the place is incredible, the waiters are trained to know the wine that goes best with the meal. I got the gnocchi, which is my favorite food and I can claim it was amazing. Very soft and great flavor. The waiter engaged us and was so friendly that he told us stories. The manager and the chef also greet us to make sure our meal was satisfactory.
Dessert was to die for, very delicious. No regrets and feel like the quality did justice for the price. Would love to go again.
