If you are looking for a tutoring center-look no further. Katie and her staff are WONDERFUL, AMAZING AND VERY PATIENT. You can do 1 on 1 tutoring or do a group tutoring. You get a weekly update on your child's progress. The staff is always available to ask question or voice your concerns and they understand your concerns in doing the best for you child. The prices are reasonable. You will see improvements in your child's progress.
Super friendly-attentive staff!!! Food was good-try the Chile Rellenos. The chips are homemade and the salsa is made fresh-can fill up on those alone. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked good. They had a "special" posted on the white board-cheap $6.00 2 taco and a drink. The rest of the menu is the same-good food, great affordable prices.
This is a new store, it is very small and the selection is slowly growing, but if you are looking for a cute "party favor gift" go in and check out there chocolate molds-they have butterflies, ducks, lady bugs and bees-they are individually packed and very cute. Oh I didn't mention that it is made out of Belgian Chocolate-Delicious. It is is downtown MH-only a small wooden sign and sidewalk sign-kind of hard to find-if you blink you could miss the store. Parking is limited ,if you are lucky to find a spot on the street. They also do "stuff" animals.
Big selection, quick service. No more than you place your order one of the staff is already waiting to grab your bagel and start your order. Perfect texture-crunch outside with a soft inside. I like the onion bagel toasted with cream cheese...
Baked fresh and often time in the AM you go in and the a bagel-not toasted and the bagel is still warm. Doesn't get any better than this!
This is a very small flower shop, but they are reasonable and the owner is very nice and willing to make up "any" bouquet of flowers within in your budget. Flower selection varies depending on the season, but as small as this place is the selections is good. This florist doesn't try to push additions-ie: bears, balloons, etc.
Go get there guacamole-you won't be disappointed. It is fresh, flavor able and bets making it at home. They also have quite the cheese section-who would have thought a Mexican meat market would have such the variety. They also have a BIG meat counter-try the marinated "carne asada" for tacos. Feels kind of weird walking in-being a minority, but there were quite a few of the workers who were friendly and spoke English making the experience so much easier. The limes, tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers...etc are dirt cheap-can't get those prices or the freshness at you local grocery store.
There aren't many good Chinese Restaurants in Morgan Hill, but you have to try to salt and pepper fish-mm. The also have this noodle dish that is very similar to pad Thai-nice change to the standard chow mein. Another good dish is the Peking spare ribs. The prices are reasonable, service can be slow at times, but the food is good.
It does not get any fresher or better than this. If you eat tofu out of box or package that you get at the grocery store-then you have to go to SJ Tofu-I guarantee you won't go back. It is made fresh every morning and although I have never experience it, they can run out. They only have the 1 variety which is considered soft-so you can't get silken or firm-will have to stick with the package in that case-but why?
If you are looking for a summer program that teaches your child about there Japanese heritage or even any child interested in the Japanese culture, this is the program for you. Check out there website for more information. The program runs for 3 weeks in the summer-language, music & dance, cooking, field trips, arts & craft and the best thing is that all the teachers are credentialed teachers. The cost of the program is well worth what you child gets out of.
If you want good, "affordable" pizza then head down to High Five-you won't be disappointed. Choose from thick or thin crust-they have some "specialty" pizzas, but you can build your own. We like the Pepperoni pizza. They have a good "fresh" salad bar plus they serve sandwiches and also dinner items-steak, pork chops, etc. Great place to meet family and friends for dinner-the only down side is that there is NOTHING for the kids to do while either waiting for the pizza or after. They only had 4 games of which 2 were broken. The other bummer is that they don't deliver, but the trip is well worth it for either dine in or better yet take out.
