I went to Ame for about 2 years and was always pleased. The salon itself is very nice and the women working there were always pleasant. My hair dresser left, so I didn't continue to go there. My only complaint was that the prices are very high. I'm getting my hair done now for almost half the price.
I've been going to Dr. Bui for about 3 years now and she's great. She has a very gentle demeanor, but clearly knows what's she's doing. And as a bonus for the ladies, she can do a routine gynecological exam as well, so you can basically get 2 appointments in one.
Petrucci's is like my home away from home in the summer. Everything is delicious and there is a wide variety to choose from. Perfect for a warm summer night...
Princess is definitely my new go-to nail salon. The place is extremely clean, pedicure chairs are much more comfortable than other salons, and they always have the newest lines of OPI and Essie. Prices are great, and you get a free massage while you're drying, which is wonderful. Highly recommended.
I have been to Primavera probably a dozen times and have never been disappointed. I've never had to wait for a table (granted I'm usually there for lunch) and the food is delicious. I'd highly recommend the pizzas which are upscale and a good size. Pastas and sandwiches are also great. Service isn't overwhelming, but not terrible either. Great place for a date, or to take clients, which my company does often.
I've been a fan of Olive since they opened (I believe in 2007). The women that work there are very sweet and do a good job. Only complaint is that pedicures seem rushed at times when they're busy. But the prices and results generally make up for that.
Fantastic selection of wines, usually some featured ones at great prices. The staff is very helpful and will track things down for you even if they don't have them in store.
I am now drooling over the thought of the hard chocolate cake donuts. Definitely get there early though, because they tend to sell out of a lot of things on the weekends.
I just recently ate at Positano with a group of friends for my birthday. The atmosphere is FANTASTIC - what I imagine it would be like to be sitting in a restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Food was excellent, service was good, but not overbearing. I would definitely go back.
Bagelicious is a great neighborhood bagel shop. The people that work there know everyone, and the bagels are good. My only personal complaint is that they use scrambled eggs for their bagel sandwiches, but that's just a matter of preference. They do tend to run out of a lot of varieties of bagels on the weekends, so get there early.
